sounds good to me. I'm a fan of combo packs since a couple of the TVs on my house still have DVD players. Plus most of my friends still use DVDs, so I can loan those out.

I've got all the ltd editions so I don't plan on having any gaps in the collection. So far I've been really happy with all of the titles they released (still undecided on Caligula but it's an interesting release nevertheless). I just hope the day doesn't come where they release something that I have no desire to add to my collection, and then I'll have to make a decision between having a hole in my ltd edition collection or paying good money for a film I don't want

It did sting a bit to click the "order" button on that one. Hopefully I'll be able to order both of the upcoming ones at the same time and at least get free shipping to the U.S.

I imagine they would only give the slipcase treatment now to the most important of titles.

If it was Bad Taste, pants would be jazzed. Love that movie!

I'm assuming he meant the fact that the RGB values are completely messed up, something that pretty much every review on the web has failed to pick up on but is immediately apparent when viewing. I thought I might have been going mad after reading all of the positive reviews praising the video quality (I saw 9/10 on one site), so I'm glad I stumbled across shogun123's post. Obviously someone else can see the problems!

Basically the only way to get the image looking normal is to set your player to output the 0-255 RGB range instead of the usual 16-235. If you don't the entire image looks washed out on both films, completely destroying the contrast. It looks so much better after that adjustment, mainly because it looks like it should. If this was a major title release from a big distributor people would be making an awful lot of noise about it, but because it's an older niche title folks seem to think that it's supposed to look like that (which it very obviously isn't).

No. But then again, I'm taking it from the standpoint that barebones dvds used to cost £19.99. I don't consider £17.99 expensive.

Well to me it's overpriced. Not enormously overpriced, but still.

I know it's "limited" but other identical Arrow packages cost like a third less or even more. If you add shipping for international locations it really becomes expensive. A good third more than a Masters of Cinema release and about the same as a Criterion.

I don't mean to diss Arrow in any way or form. But one has to admit that their ZFE not-so-limited edition IS a tad on the pricey side.

Yeah I guess if you factor the shipping charges into it, then it could be a little pricey.

Haha, yeah, I'm talking 2000 prics here. But I am one of these people who owned a laserdisc player back in the day, when discs would cost a small fortune. Tower Records in Glasgow used to have US imports too, so I guess it all comes from those bygone days that I don't consider £17.99 a lot of money.

I remember as a student lusting after the SE laserdisc boxsets in the basement of the Tower Records in Piccadilly Circus. They used to have all the US imports with many of those sets in the £100 to £200 range. I remember holding the Criterion Brazil wishing I could afford it and a player. It is now coming to BD for around £25, which really shows how prices have moved in the last 15 years.
