I hope you get it taken care of.

I'm going to go do my usual drinking ritual, and jam out some BD concerts in my HT room.

Check ya later!

Getting nicely toasted on a weekday.

Layne Staley had an amazing singing voice imo. A pity he had too start doing heroin. Properly what ended up killing Kurt Cobain as well.

That's awesome. I keep going back and forth on what I want to get as my next upgrade. Which was the better upgrade, speakers or avr?

Generally speaking....... Your most notable sonic upgrade would be speakers, followed by acoustic treatments for your listening space then all others

I thought a shotgun killed Kurt Cobain.

I got my front and center speakers about the same time as my receiver. I would say that it depends on which is worse in your setup. If your speakers are decent, and your receiver sucks vs having a decent receiver with crappy speakers. All things being equal, I would definitely say the speakers are the most important thing for sound.

It wouldn't let me quote the whole thing for some reason, so I'll just put it in my next post.
I think you did perfect. There's just some people over there that don't understand English I guess. I made a few statements today to get everything focused on what the thread is about.

I needed it all Froggie. I chose speakers first. Everything in mine except the LCD was from a HTiB system I purchased like 6 years ago. I can't imagine what my Klipschs will sound after I get my new receiver

I was amazed at the overall quality boost going from a bottom end Sony HD avr to a mid-end Onkyo, and the XT just took that already nice boost, and raised it several notches more.

Just my speaker change is totally worth every cent I spent. I understand too, about upgrading an AVR, that will totally change things especially if u didn't have anything to calibrate with before.

Just the thought of upgrading my AVR makes me

I'd chose what will be your best bang for the buck...

With good speakers a AVR upgrade can make a huge difference

Hello Russ. I agree.
That's true. I'll look into some acoustic treatments. But from prior research, it will be very costly. My biggest problem is the whole house has very thin cheap wood paneling.
