This release is perfect for them. Release it, take it off the market after complaints and sell it at jacked up prices. Win win.

Cue the same 15-page debate over this movie, the same back-and-forth that happens every 3 months in one thread or another. Clownhouse will never go away. Deja vu times a million. First one to bring up Polanski goes on my ignore list. j/k.

I'd be interested in The Farmer as well and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it as soon as it was released

With proper promotion and distribution this film could be good seller !

Where else can you watch this film ? Nowhere ! It would be one thing if we were able to watch a VHS copy on youtube but unfortunately this movie has never gotten a home video release, it was last seen in '77 sad to say

It would be epic to get this on blu-ray !! I wouldn't even mind paying a bit extra for it !

Please convince Bill to finally put The Farmer out on Blu, I would like to own it
Thanks !

There really doesn’t need to be any debate. Why would it matter to anyone here if a film gets released or not? You’re either going to buy it or you won’t. What the hell do I care what other people want to buy and watch?

I agree, but it always goes into the same big debate. I'm all for a release, so just get it out there and be done with it, for those who want it.

Exactly.
People who wish to pay for & want to watch a cinematic tribute to the director's disgusting perverted pedeophilic fantasies are welcome to it.

Releasing PEDOOHOUSE puts $$ in the sicko's pocket,
and also rubs it in the victim's face.
2 good reasons why no one should go near this.

I think for a film like Clownhouse a very limited release of 1000 or maybe even 1300 copies would be good. Those who want it will buy it, then it can go OOP, and everyone can live happily ever after.

Plenty of other people in Hollywood who have committed similar crimes are still getting paid.

And I highly doubt a limited release by a small label would even be noticed by anyone outside this and similar forums.

politely stfu. Some of us want this released on blu. You're free to state your opinion, but I think you've said it enough now. Like someone said, if we held back all movies that had unscrupulous backgrounds, there would be damn little to choose from. This director was caught, put in prison & did his time in there for said crime. It's done. I want the friggin' movie. Thank you.

You better start burning all of your Weinstein Brothers titles & Kevin Spacey titles. What a hypocrite.

Pretty sure that 90% + of all films would be fine.

Huge difference between what Weinsten and Salva did, not even sure why Spacey is mentioned as they are in no way comparable as I believe that all bar one allegation against him involved adults and even the Rapp story isn't all that clear-cut but that's not for here or now.

I've not seen Clownhouse but any review I have seen mentions some worrying shots in the film in which the camera lingers on the kids in various stages of undress which gives the film a much darker undertone when you consider what occurred behind the scenes.

Salva is one of those strange ones, Coppola's unwavering support of him is just plain odd and the fact that his most recent film had to be edited after reviewers pointed out that it had a joke about a kid who was abused says a lot. He may have served his time but it doesn't mean that the film deserves or need a release, especially if it will financially benefit him.

By all means, go out and support him all you want but to many the thought of him profiting from Clownhouse is distasteful.

The Farmer is almost as rare as Jerry Lewis's The Day The Clown Cried.

I don’t think there’s anyone here who gives a shit about Salva. We just want the film released. It deserves a release just like any other film does.

You don’t have to like it, but you people need to stop trying to decide for everyone else on what they should watch or buy. There’s WAY more important matters to be pissed off about in the world today, than whether a movie gets put on Blu ray or not.

I think some of you gents are way OVER estimating how much anyone gets when a film gets released in Blu-ray...let’s just say that it’s a nominal amount (even for the rights holder). If we start analyzing all the films, the directors, actors and producers and voiding all the films that had some pos as a participant...we would be left with little to see.

Did any of you who are saying this shouldn't be released because it would give money to a sex offender contribute to Nathan Forest Winters gofundme for his cause? If you haven't and have an actual issue with this then you should consider helping out people that are effected by sex offenders rather than just complaining about the movie being released.

We get it, you want it released and can't have a discussion without being aggressive.

No one is saying that it should be locked away forever, just that from everything that is out there about it it's hard to argue why it deserves a release. Maybe all involved in it want a release and you are happy to pay for it but many aren't and would like to see time and money spent on films with a less sordid background. Maybe it's a great film but I have no interest in seeing it considering reviews talk about how the camera lingers on the cast in various stages of undress. For me, I'd much rather see Dark Forces look into releasing more deserving films than Clownhouse.

The creep filmed his vision, and apparently you and worship want to watch these scenes in HD and replay them over and over.
Isn't there a DVD to satisfy your needs?

There is not a single other film I can think of where a director puts his sickness on screen in such a way.
He is still at it apparently, his most recent film had to be edited.

Weinstein is an ******* and deserves to go to jail.
Polsanski made 1 big mistake 40 years ago.
He is also an amazing director, and none of his films reflect on that, or glorify the victimization of innocents.

You and worship may want this movie on Blu...
you are most definitely in a small minority.
