Well, if thats the case, then there really is no excuse. When Bill is releasing trash like The Jigsaw Murders, over The Farmer, that is baffling.

He'd have to get in touch with MGM...I believe they still own it.

Thank you Fred. The dark forces have definitely been on the side of the US postal service. We will have more upcoming flash sales as well as the big new slate of Dark Force releases. Now that we are more familiarized with the restoration process you will see a big difference going forward. We put a lot into God's Bloody Acre which was in dire need of it. We took a real liking to that one as we feel it is very representative of the 70's grind house drive-in fare. Simultaneously we are continuing with our extended scene by scene color correction which makes an enormous difference on several of our major single edition upcoming releases such as THE BACKLOT MURDERS and RAVEN DANCE. We appreciate your feedback.

Considering what happened behind the scenes does it really deserve a release especially if the release would in any way financially aid the director?

Clownhouse would be a bad move - that movie is tainted.

I agree with the others here - twist Bill's arm about THE FARMER.

Clownhouse just like any other movie deserves to be released. There are people who like it & would like to own it. While I may not be one of them I respect the fact it has its fans & wouldn't want to deny them the chance it could come out.

Not saying CLOWNHOUSE shouldn’t be released, I just think Dark Force/Dave should be aware of the potential shitstorm that would entail, should they choose to acquire it (if he’s not already).

Personally, I’m a huge proponent of consumer choice and would never try and dissuade anyone from owning the films they want.

I only mention it because this particular title might be a headache for Dark Force.

I wonder if Zoetrope/Coppola would even seriously consider licensing it. Coppola is an ardent supporter of Salva, so bringing Clownhouse & the history behind it back to the forefront is something that I think both of them would bristle at, especially after what happened with Jeepers Creepers 3. Hopefully they'll be able to get some kind of response from him.

If Dark Force has connections to Coppola, ask if his new cut of The Cotton Club will ever see the light of day.

Or any of the extra footage from Twixt that never surfaced after his original release plans never came to fruition (I know people hate that flick, but I love it).
