Not only would I still like to see Tron 3, I'd also be up for a sequel to or reboot of The Black Hole.

I haven't seen that one, but a lot of movies are better than Quentin Tarantino's movies.

Tarantino is someone I used to hold in a very high regard until I came across the films that he's referencing in the first place - the exploitation stuff from the '70s, for example.

His movies have become very vacuous for me after that - really, all he does is take movies he likes and repackages them/polishes them up to gain mass appeal. The overwrought dialogues in most of his films also seem like an affectation that gets in the way far too often. And the less said about his latest two films the better.

Same here. I still like his films quite a lot, but once you've seen the "originals" or the influences on which his schtick is based, his own work almost seems to take on an air of redundant hollowness.

I use to assume he'd greatly develop and mature as the decades went by, and he has done so in minor incremental ways, but not to the point where his output belies his obvious talent. Dare I say, he's seems like such a student of the game when listening to him in interviews, etc., that he himself is too hyper-aware of such meta things as legacies, bodies of work, etc., and as a result I feel there's almost a hesitancy or fear of taking a risk. I suppose when rewards are repeatedly reaped without any need for pushing the boat out, a sense of complacency is certain to set in, more so in a place like Hollywood where guys like QT are constantly having smoke blown up their behinds, and haven't heard the word "no" in decades. Still a fan, though.

True Romance and Natural Born Killers are both better than Tarantino's films.

They are fine movies, but Pulp Fiction still beats them both.

If you pay any money to see the new Halloween movie, you're a sucker. If you see it for free, you still need to find better things to do with your time.

Controversial Opinion: Bad Times is better than the Godfather, Fargo, Psycho and the Avengers... put together.

Blackhat is way better than its reputation suggests. And much more easier to sit through than the macho, overstylized headache that is Miami Vice.

One day... a few years down the line, you will re-watch Miami Vice and see the error of your ways.

Both movies are terrible. There is no middle ground with Michael Mann films. They are either excellent or garbage. And, in my opinion, only three of his movies are excellent.

with one of those being THE KEEP!

but that leaves (the theatrical non-tealed) THIEF, MANHUNTER and LAST OF THE MOHICANS. So that is 4 excellent movies.

Seven Samurai, while a technical masterpiece in terms of direction, cinematography, and acting... is overrated. Technically sound, but too long and boring. (And I'm fine with most old films, and old Japanese films at that)

You know, most Kurosawa movies are too long with scenes where literally nothing is happening. Even his shorter movies like Yojimbo suffer from this.
