You can buy polyfill from Walmart for $3-$4. Make sure it is the fire retardant kind and do not overstuff the subwoofer.

Bulding a riser and putting the sub on it may also help its performance. There are two DIY threads with sticky that explain risers and polyfill.
The glue that I was revering to was used to hold wires and components in place on the circuit board. Leaks are definitely bad, I just thought they went a bit overboard in their haste to build it.

I already filled it with Poly-Fil from Michaels while I had it apart. I got a great deal by using a 50% coupon so I got a 1lb bag for $2.50.

A riser is definitely on my list, as well as a few of the things you mention here. I also want to tuck it away in a custom cabinet I am building for my home theater. Hopefully I don't hurt the sound too much. I'll have to do some experimenting to see if that will work.

Nice workaround on the rca jacks buscho.

Anyone have a HD Sub 15? I'm only on page 40 and skipped to the end so I could ask ( lazy I know). I have a big living room and already have a PA-120 but it just can't get the job done on it's own. It tries real hard though. I was thinking that the sub 15 would be a good choice. I also wanted a little deeper extension with the next sub I buy so that's why I'm looking into this sub(also on a budget). Anyone have one and want to share a review on it?

Check the bottom of Post #1. All the owners and their subwoofers are listed there.

Now I just have to get it to play nice with my old 5-speaker Bose Acoustimass 10 and the passive, so-called "bass module." I have to use the analog multi outs from the Oppo BDP-83 so my crossover is limited to 80Hz, but I am looking forward to actually having some decent bass now. I thank Big Daddy for discovering and testing out what seems to be a great value line of subs.
Congratulations. The Cherry sub is very attrative, but making the WAF happy is more important. I added your name to the list of owners in Post #1.

they are so beautiful
my old 8in denon seems so small and worthless
because good things come in pairs

Now I have to wait until Friday until the rest of my speakers come. Also these go so well with my floors

One question though, do you guys recommend playing anything first to warm them up before going all out ??

Sweet! Nice looking set up Irrob.

Hey BD when setting up would it be ok to rub calibration on the subs with them out from the wall say around 2 feet (like you suggest) but then put them back when done with the movies. I couldn't leave them out like that all the time....the WAF would tank.

Man those cherry subs look great dood! My wife didn't think cherry would go with our furniture or I would have gone cherry everything. Black looks good and boring I guess.

If you want to ''daisy chain" them you can plug a cable into one sub "in" and then run another cable from the out to the in on the other sub. I think the best way would be to use a splitter at the receiver and run seperate cables to each sub...and also use the splitter at the sub(two male one female) to gain a few more db's worth. Hope this helped.

You can keep them close to the wall. However, since the port is in the back, give them a few inches of breathing room.

Your subs look beautiful. I am coming over on Friday. I may steal one of them.

You can daisy chain them as the manual suggested or you can attach both of them directly to the receiver with a Y adapter (1 male, 2 female). Read A Guide to Bass Management. There is a section at the end on connecting and setting up two subwoofers.

The most important thing is to experiment with their position. You may need the break-in period more than the subwoofers. Play a few movies and some CD's and wait a few days until you become fully familiar with them before you finalize everything.

A lot of crazy things happen in the last 10 minutes. Don't do anything else and have the ebay page and your email on your screen.

Ugh. I know all to well aboutythe last 10 minutes.

The problem is. No computer. Haven't had it for 3 weeks now. I've been doing all my postin on here and bidding on eBay with the eBay app on my iPhone !!! With no wifi or 3g. So I'm running off AT&T s edge network. Which is not the best for making last second bids!!!!

Bd I'm gonna ask ya this. Cuz if this happens again I'm done. Well wrong thread. Bd thread bump coming

^what BD said. Stay on top of it. A sniper will be waiting for the last few minutes to take you down. Good luck. If you lose this one, maybe set your initial bid higher next time?
