Back in 2008 the Pioneer PRO-101FD original list price was $5,500 and $200 for the KRP-TS02 tabletop stand. I stopped in my local Best Buy store this week and all they had left was a floor model Pioneer PRO-101FD with a hand written sticker price of $1,799.99 for the open box floor model. There was also a professional machine printed Best Buy price tag that listed the PRO-101FD’s for $1,999.86 as a special order and the KRP-TS02 tabletop stand for only $49.86.

I asked the employee in the Magnolia section of Best Buy if they had factory new PRO-101FD’s still available. The Best Buy employee informed me that factory new PRO-101FD’s were out of stock in the entire state I live in and only the floor model remained. It was my understanding that some Best Buy stores in some areas of the United States might still have factory new PRO-101FD’s for only $1,999.86 and the KRP-TS02 table top stand for only $49.86. A factory new price of $1,999.86 is excellent compared to around $5,500 that some people paid for the PRO-101FD in 2008. From a reliable source I have learned that the 2009 dealer’s clearance price for authorized Pioneer Elite dealers was around $2,475.

So if anyone wants a factory new Pioneer PRO-101FD for $1,999.86 this is the last chance since Best Buy is almost completely out of stock nationwide. If interested call your local Magnolia Best Buy store to see if they still have the Pioneer Elite Signature series monitor in stock.

I see individuals and companies are selling the Pioneer PRO-101FD between $3,000-$4,500 on EBAY and Amazon. One person on EBAY has several PRO-101FD’s for sell. Perhaps some people purchased a whole bunch of PRO-101FD’s from Best Buy and marked them up a $1,000 or more to make some money.

The top of the line PRO-141FD is selling for new or used prices of around $10,000 on Amazon. 2008 list price on the PRO-141FD is $7,000. 2009 Clearance price for authorized Pioneer Elite dealers was around $3,500 according to a reliable source. Some companies and individuals are making some nice money selling the PRO-141FD for $10,000+.

Wow! Time to get on that deal! ...Would luv a 65" though! ...But, good for the bedroom!

I would buy one now if I lived in America (PRO-101FD) $1'999.86 is a bargain. To bad they don't ship out to Australia Better then paying $3'113,00 for a Pioneer PRO-101FD on Ebay+shipping.

DNice was over my house yesterday to recalibrate my 600M and calibrate my 500M for the first time. He calibrated my 600M last year but we put a lot of veiwing hours on it over the year. The blues and reds were off a bit and the blacks were not as deep, but the Master of Calibration brought my Kuro's picture back perfect again I thought the "Pure" mode settings I was using on the 500M were good, but after he was done I was in awe of how beautiful the isf Day and Night modes look. DNice is the man, and if you plan on getting your set calibrated anytime soon I would definetly get in touch with him first. It was well worth the $.

I got it from Value Electronics. The owner is a great guy, and I think I got a good deal, so I'm not sure it's appropriate to discuss price. I'd definitely buy from him again.

Default Bb 101

Just purchased a 101 display model for 1600.00 ,the table top stand was only 49.99,BB has 17 stands and only 1 Pioneer 101 left..........so this makes three Kuros, just don't think there will be a better display for several years , even then it will be alot more than 1600.00

Sarge, I just read on AVS that D-Nice tweaked his 141 to get black level down to .0006fl. He said it should work for the 600m too. But he said that it might not work for all of them (assuming he's talking about build date).

He also stated that his 101 measured in at .0004fl. That is just awesome! 10 times the black level of a new VT25. LOL

Yeah it is He got my 500M down to 0.0004fl on Saturday I will have to email him about the 600M though. He was telling me that there are no TVs on the market that can even compare to our Kuros in black level

ISF calibrated 101's/500m's have had a measured black level of .0005fl until recently when D-Nice calibrated his (and Sarge's) set to .0004fl.

It's a shame that Panasonic isn't putting to use the Kuro technology that they bought from Pioneer But it's ok, I don't mind having 2 of the best plasmas made

That's still pretty awesome, especially considering what is being said that the VT25 will be .009 - .010 after the rise.
