Just did another a disc vs streaming comparison after I recalibrated my setup. You guys aren’t going to like the results...

As to your ripped Blu-ray vs streaming, means nothing without details. How were the BD ripped? Software? Transcoder settings? What container were they stored in? What served the file(s) for playback? Software and hardware? Transcoder settings? What were the files served to (playback device)?

I can rip a Blu-ray and have it look worse than VHS if so desired.

I think it's against the rules here to put ripping software, but it was Fabulous. The Back-ups are 1:1, Blu-ray Files are M2TS and DVD Files are VOB. I still have the Back-ups I can play them on my Panasonic BD Player listed with my equipment. Sound and Video are identical to the originals.

Never heard of Fabulous, did you mean DVDFab? If not, makeMKV or AnyDVD (Red Fox) or Pavtube or other?

And what server did you use to store the files on.

Yeah, but thanks to 4K and Labels like Vinegar Syndrome and Arrow, I’m picking up 70 titles in bulk rather than the usual 60. I also have 20 VR titles to buy, a Twin Peaks tattoo to get done and a holiday to Austria to pay for!
