It came to mind as I still have an older version that I bought a few years back. I replaced it with the Monster HDP2400 console, but will reintroduce it once I seperate out my 2-channel entirely from the HT portion. Of course, right now that only consists of my Plasma! LOL! But you know what I mean!

The 8-outlet Belkin Pure AV Isolator HT Surge Protector might just be your ticket. They say it is sold out and their price is $99, but I'm sure with a search you can find it cheaper elsewhere.

What I like about this unit is the 8-FOOT connection cable length, and I think you will too.

Hope this helps!

Thank you both for the concern. Unfortunatly, the 8 foot cable would be long enough. The distance from the plug that works to the oposite wall is 13 feet.

But not to worry, My parents have an electrician coming on friday to fix it. Hopefully.

Good Morning to the both of you as well!

Thanks for the link Sammy. I bought another extension cord already just like the one I have for the Entertainment rack. I have the Amp and Tuner plugged into it and it works well. Hopefully the Electrician will fix the problem and i will have use of all my outlets again.

Yep! The kitchen is done and I'll finish the PC setup today. I was interrupted the other day by some work-related issues, so that put me slightly behind schedule. And then I thought: "Hey, you don't need no freagin' schedule! You're on holiday!".

I also finally made the Lasagna, but it's in the fridge as I didn't want to bake it last night. I had a hankering for French Fries and a Ham/Cheese/Tomato sandwich on an Onion Roll. So that's what I did.

I kinda feel guilty that I didn't complete the PC setup just yet, so today I'll be putting my nose to the grindstone and completing that task. After that I'll treat myself by baking the Lasagna! Woohoo!

That sounds awesome John! I finished cleaning up my room and officially hooking up the Amp and Tuner and Speakers. They are in their permanent place until i move out.

Its my Girlfriend and I's 3 year anniversary today, so we will be going to dinner more then likely. We dont really have any plans since i have to work tonight as well, we have to do everything before 10 so i have time to get ready.

Good news on the Debt Payoff, I have my Kays account paid off so that is 1 bill down, 3 more to go. I did make a decision though, I wont be proposing on her birthday as planned. I am going to hold off on buying the ring until june to give me more time to pay more bills off. She didnt know that I was going to offiically propose to her then anyway so its not like I am letting her down. In our eyes, we are already engaged anyway.

I had some questions I forgot to ask. First off John, I have a Denon 1910 CD/DVD player that I forgot I even owned. I wondering if this would be a better option when listening to CD's compared to my Sony BDP-s550? I could hook it up PCM, it has better DAC's than my Sony I think.

Excellent news on the clearing up of Debt #1. Good man! Regarding the proposal, you'll know when the time is right, and if that means waiting until all of your bills are paid...so be it. You're doing the responsible thing Mike! Kudos to you for that!

Do it Sammy! Can you have both hooked up at the same time and make a comparison? That'll let you know which of the two you prefer for CD playback. If the Denon also upconverts DVD, then make that comparison to the Sony BD player as well. If there is no real difference, then I would keep them both connected and use your Sony purely for BD playback....perhaps taking away some of the strain from constant use of 3 different mdedia sources.
