To be honest I have not even popped that disc in yet. When I get home from work I will. Also whats even worse is the fact they don't even try to hide the fact that they are reusing footage. They don't really bother to clean it up and the new hd footage makes it even worse. Not to mention the fact that they keep going back and forth between old and new footage with Tom McLoughlin it makes it even worse. He gets older and younger over and over again. It is so bad.

You know what I don't even want this anymore. If anyone wants to purchase it from me shoot me a pm. It will include the bonus disc and the cover is signed by Larry Zerner from part 3

I got it on Friday night, and watched it all of the way through. I was very disappointed after viewing because 85% of it is recycled footage from His Name was Jason. This includes stuff from the main feature as well as the extended interviews on both of the disc in that set. I think it also includes stuff they left on the cutting room floor from that doc as well. There is also a huge difference in quality between the 15% of new footage and the 85% of old footage. Yes there is some new information thrown in, but other than that this is a very underwhelming release. I confronted the producer Saturday at the convention about why this was done the way it was done. He just put his head down and ignored me. If you were one of the people that were let down by the features on the box set then this will piss you off and will have you seeing red
I disagree. There are definitely some recycled interviews, I'd say that it is more around 20% recycled material vs. new interviews. It goes pretty in-depth. There is a shift in quality between the old & new, but it didn't bother me too much. I can understand being frustrated with the reuse of material, but I can understand why it was done.

I have just finished with the first disc, and considering it only covered the first 6 films and clocked in at just under 4 hours, I'm pretty satisfied.

Just got mine as well. For some reason it lists the mailing date as 9/17/13, but I don't really care. Because despite all the "stop crying" reverse-whiners here, all I wanted to know was that my order wasn't lost in the shuffle. Now I just need to get that $10 refunded and it looks like I'm going to have to create a Facebook account for that, which is frustrating.

Wait...are you telling me that if you cry about it being late you get $10 back? Wow....sad.

Harry Manfredini also "popped in" and did a pre-signing for the folks at Dark Delicacies.

At one point before the signing you were able to order it from here: http://darkdel.com/

That is no longer the case as the signing was over the weekend and copies were sold out long in advance.
Some of that list is incorrect. Tracie Savage, VC Dupree and Michael B. Silver were "no-shows" at the signing. Dupree even had a name-plate at the table, but he never showed up. There was a rumor that Tracie Savage did some signing beforehand, but I believe that is false. There were 3 names that PRE-SIGNED copies before the event: Harry Manfredini, Tiffany Paulsen, and documentary producer Thommy Hutson. I think people assumed it was Savage that pre-signed, but it was Paulsen.

Also, three other people that were also there for the signing were Joe Zito, Elizabeth Kaitan, and Todd Farmer.

I watched the whole documentary over the weekend and I also noticed the startling difference in the McLoughlin footage. That's the only one that really popped out to me as being strange. I assumed maybe they filmed it at different times over the years and never even thought of the HIS NAME WAS JASON connection. All that said, this documentary is put-together 1000 times better than HNWJ so recycled footage or not, it still gets big thumbs-up from me.

Sorry about that. I just copy-pasted from the list on the dark del site. Thanks for the correction.

USA As Promised...

As I suspected, order was apparently shipped out on 9/13 and arrived today!

Order Date: 7/8 promptly submitted at 12:03AM
Order Confirmation: Yes via paypal
Shipping Confirmation: No. Never got one
Item Delivery: 9/16 at 4PM

Lastly, I'll reiterate that for those of you who like me have yet to receive your copy. It was in fact shipped or will be shipped today if it wasn't on Friday. The lack of email notifications of shipment in the end falls on the distributor and not 1428 and the CLM team. Sure there could have been better communication between them and us and yes the manner in which orders were shipped out could have been better handled but in the end we'll all have our orders soon enough. And for those who had nothing to say but "quit whining" or "don't you have anything better to do", well first why don't you look in a mirror. And two, for the LAST time. We weren't angered that the set did not arrive on 9/13, we were just disappointed in the lack of communication and priority given to those of us who paid for it on the spot the moment we could. Whereas people who ordered and paid last minute ended up with notification of shipments and arrival of the product first. This was never about having the item in hand on 9/13 (sure maybe for a select few) but majority of us just wanted simple acknowledgement of our orders. Not asking too much considering when you pay for something you expect to get something, even if it is just an email saying your order is en route.

Thanks everyone, it's been a trip. Hope the rest of you receive your copies today/tomorrow!!! Long live Jason Voorhees ;-P
