I'm on the phone right now with Best Buy and according to them I should of gotten the email everyone's been getting today. The lady is looking into what happened.

I wish Best Buy would put people on the phone you can understand and know what they are doing. The lady said if I didn't receive a email by Monday to call them back. But aren't they closed Monday?

It's always something with best buy next time I'll just do the pick up at store option.

Seems like you were wrong with this double pack.

I hate these blue discs with just the title of the film in white letters. Are they trying to make blu-rays less appealing in order to push digital downloads? I guess it would save them money. They would still make around $20 per purchase and would save on the cost of the box and disc. Plus shipping them out and by cutting out the middle man aka having stores sell them.

I wonder if this is also the reason they include less bounce features vs the amount they used to produce when the films came out to dvd. Just one less incentive to pick up the physical copy in order to push the "Watch it now" amazon digital download option.

Anyways I'll always pick up the dvd/blu-ray until studios stop producing physical media that is.
Thanks for sharing this video with us!

While artwork on discs are nice, it is not a big deal since no one is going to look at it for hours

Alright I figured out what I was doing wrong
This is so awesome! Jafar is my second favorite Disney villain. Second only to Ursula to me. I really appreciate them taking the time to include this on the Blu-ray.

Only thing that could have made it better would have been if they used some effects / flash animation to make the story boards more animated the way they did with Ursula's deleted scene included on The Little Mermaid Blu-ray.

Thanks for sharing the video!

WOW! Thanks.... I went to the website today to change my order from store pick up to shipping, and I saw that the estimated delivery time was going to be a week later, so I didn't do anything about it, now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and change my order.....

What? What? You to realize most people on this site like them, right? There is a reason people buy and sell individual slipcovers. They may be pieces of cardboard. But that's like saying the Mona Lisa is just a canvas. Some of these slip covers are so great the male owning a physical copy of the movie a must versus just a digital version.

I think what he's trying to say is that you might be better off selling them to those who want them than just throwing them out because you believe they "belong in the trash."

They are $1 each for a slipcover so no, it is not worth selling

Not in so many words but yes. I'm saying they have value. Add the, to your movie and the movie is more collectible. That's why people say in eBay auctions that it comes with the slip. People like slips. If movies have value they have more with a slip. And if you don't keep them people buy them. While most are cheap, some can get up there. Or just sell like ten for ten on eBay. Even after fees and shipping if you can cover part of your next refill at the gas station, why not sell them? I pick up a penny if I see one so I'd certainly never throw away, literally throw away, a dollar which is what you're doing at the minimum. Keep or sell, they have value. Toss them and they're just garbage. If you toss the Mona Lisa, it's just garbage. Put it in a collection or up for sale and it has value.

I think my slip for Enchanted is probably the rarest I have because few were made and it's for a Disney movie that was very popular.

For those who want the regular and lenticular covers, get the BB version and in a week or so, when they come in stick at Disney, call and order a 'replacement' o-sleeve. Yes the first is $4.95 but each additional is $1 and that includes shipping so get a few Bb releases, then call up and order the regular sleeves. Then you can put either one on or can put the lenticular cover in a safe place so it won't get damaged and can keep the standard one on it. I'd wait until you want at least five covers. At $9 it'd be less than $2 for each slip on average. I think many people who are u sure would jump on the BB exclusives and spend $1-$2 more to get then regular cover as well later on.

If you read the Disney Slipcover Replacement Thread thread, you'll see they stopped offering replacement o-sleeves like this. Now it's only available for new releases AND with proof of purchase where you received a damaged item:

Quote:
The lady restated the comment above, they'll replace a slipcover one time, as a courtesy, if you meet BOTH criteria: the movie has to be released within 8 weeks, and the slipcover came damaged.

Well they serve a purpose to those that you know actually COLLECT them; this is a site dedicated to Blu-rays, packaging is thus included in discussion of them. Thus they serve a purpose.

Most people? There's a contigent of rabid collectors who are more obsessed over packaging than a movie's video/audio/extras.

It is just useless cardboard that takes up shelf space. I toss them too (into the recycle bin).

i don't like slipcovers when they're exactly like the cover either. So lazy. And I do miss disc art. I'd rather have that than slipcovers. lol

I just keep the slip covers on my movies if they come with one. I don't think too much into it. Lol.
