I guess from wal-marts perspective it's understandable to want to get everything in 1 SKU rather than have 2 or 3 SKU's, and the numbers say DVD's still sell. I'm not even OCD about packaging and this is still a hard pass. I just hate the waste of the extra discs. 2 format combo packs are a necessary evil we all had to accept to some extent, but triple format just seems nuts.

I don't know - it is a more consumer friendly approach to include all of the formats. Let's put it this way, I like this approach much (much) more than studios now taking away formats like how some studios are breaking up the 4k and bluray discs.

Only one my stores says they have Fall blu-ray in stock. And they supposedly have 8 copies but can't find them.

I saw both of these tonight for $14.96 each. I picked up the L&S set.

For some odd reason they had $5 DVD titles in the new release section. While they moved the this weeks movies to a section that was behind glass. A place where movies usually go after moving from the new release section.

heads up! read an article that said Walmart will be starting Black Friday/Thanksgiving sale on November 7 through the rest of the month!

Have no idea if this will be only B&M, online, or both, or what movies will be heavily discounted. But it is nice it is starting early.

my walmart was remodeling so they did not have any new releases up on shelves... Next Tuesday is Maverick Day so i'd expect there to be a lot of copies of it on shelves... maybe hundreds? Who knows

Funny I saw 2 dvds of The Invitation but no bds. They had a spot. I think they sold out. They had 2 copies of Nope on bd. But didn't have their 4k exclusive slip in stores.

They had a ton of copies of the movie Breaking with John Boyega though for some reason.

$7.50 dvd bin had limited edition blu ray steelbooks for $7.50. Divergent was the only double, while the rest shown only had one copy.

That WM has zero interest in regularly selling blurays in any meaningful quantity/selection at their stores says a whole lot more about consumers' interests in physical media.

It also signals what I'd expect to see from them during BF.

Check your electronics sections y’all: picked up clearance 4K copies of Lightyear for $9 and Secrets of Dumbledore for $6. Both had slips albeit in not great condition and found on the regular (empty) “aisle” of movies

WM clearance is super ymmv. Store managers are allowed to clear inventory so one store selling clearance 4ks/blus/games means nothing for what other stores may be doing.

Nice. Didn't even know they had a Jigsaw steelbook. I would have picked that up and Last Witch Hunter.
