Where? That's not a bad price!

Not sure, but my Amazon pre-order price stands at $87.49 when it was first made available.

You can also go directly through Criterion right now with the code RHINO for 10%-off, which brings the price down to $89.96.

I've read it will be a two week sale. But again, as I posted earlier, do B&N employees really know? First they say the 12th, then the 9th, then the 1st.

If anything, if it is on November 1st...then next week, we should definitely know.

Twitch has a review up of the House Blu-ray:
http://twitchfilm.net/reviews/2010/1...view-house.php

I'm a little surprised it's full frame (1.33:1), although it may be the correct aspect ratio.
The Masters of Cinema DVD is anamorphic (1.55:1).

I've NEVER seen The Magician...so I'll rent and decide. I can always get it in November...I want to pick up Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence at some point anyway.

Too damned much I want and I just spent $7000.00 on a roof.
There's a B&N coupon? Where?

Let's hope that's not true....... I canceled my "Path's Of Glory" pre-order (couldn't bring myself to cancel Hausu) I'll keep all of the "Post November 1st" Pre-orders though, because if they end up getting included in a sale, I can cancel them at that time........

Shoot... I'm already regretting canceling Paths Of Glory...... I bet it ends up costing me an extra $4 or $5 for the "Gamble"

Well, if your a TRUE Kubrick fan, you would already have the MGM dvd. I'm not buying any October titles until the sale.

The one at Barnes and Noble that may or may not take place in November, 50% off, typically coupons for members (which I never do) and lasts about 2 weeks...... Rumor has it that it will become reality in November, and past experience seems to support that, but you never know.

I spoke to a BN salesperson yesterday about a November sale. Said they have sales in January and June. He didnt know anything about a November sale. Hope he's wrong.

When I worked at BN, upper management (I'm talking about beyond the immediate store mgmt) weren't alerted to sales until they got the email/fax the weekend before (at best). Floor staff were never told of sales -- and if some beans were spilled the dates weren't ever accurate. Maybe I just worked at a lame-brained flagship store...
