I've always elaborated my point or made my points stronger by pleading my thesis with reliable sources.

I think that alone, is more reliable and a better argument than some words or subjectivity.

I didn't like LOTR, but they're well acclaimed and loved films.

So it was a step down.

Being said, they're directed well, but i don't like the characters, pacing and fantasy in general.

I know what prove means, i've used the verb multiple times in this thread.

The difference is that i don't know why he would even ask that to me, it seems pretty much self explanatory that i know my stuff, and i'm able to argue for my points and support them with reliable sources.

I said it was an unrelated question, i.e. unrelated to what you was saying. For someone who knows his stuff you aren't showing it off very well.
