I agree, but in the case of some of these shows such as Fringe, I'm not worried about whether they will get cancelled in the middle of the season. There's no way Fringe gets cancelled before the season is over. As far as new shows go though, it does suck getting into a show and not knowing if it will stick around. I know you don't like Chase at all, but I do and would like for it to at least stick around for the whole season.

I kept hearing real early on that this was a very light fare kind of show. I never saw Alias so I had nothing by JJ spy related to compare it to, but I wasn't expecting much going in so I wasn't very let down to see how it turned out. I don't really ever expect much depth and darkness from NBC. Chuck is one of those rarities but there isn't any real darkness to Chuck either, but plenty of depth.

Oh I know Fringe is good for the season at the least, but stuff like Community and Chuck, I just don't know. I have zero faith in NBC and keeping quality on the air. It will be a sad damn day for me when Community and Chuck are canceled. Nothing has premiered this season that had me excited about it besides Lone Star, but that's done and gone and there is nothing left. I wouldn't really miss anything that just premiered.

Sunday update.

Everything will probably be the same for the next few weeks unless we get major drops.

That sucks that Parenthood is in the orange as it's one of my favorite shows on TV right now and really hope it continues past season 2.

It's 2.0 last week wasnt inspiring much confidence. The real test is the next three weeks.

That sucks I really hope it can pull itself together in the next 3 weeks. Has anything been said about how many episodes we are getting 13 or 22?

OK forgot about that option. Really hope that happens or next season they make it a mid season show as it seemed to do better in ratings then I think.

I'm so worried about Chuck, Fringe and Community. Three of the best shows on TV in danger.

Didn't Cleveland get a three season pickup before it ever premiered?

They've kept Chuck on this long, so they can keep quality on. I do get what you're saying though since they don't have much that is any good beyond Chuck.

I don't watch Community (I'm sure it's good though), but it will indeed be a sad day when Chuck is cancelled. I guess the fact that it has lasted longer than expected will help somewhat, but I don't see anything I watch lasting longer than a year or two more beyond what I watch on cable. I'm not going to worry about that too much now though as I'm just going to enjoy Chuck and Fringe as much as I can while they are still on.

Don't even know what this is......but it's dead.

ABC Family has canceled its freshman drama series "Huge."

The series based on the young adult novel by Sasha Paley about two roommates at a weight-loss camp who fall for the same guy, "Huge" was a ratings lightweight this summer, averaging 1.9 million viewers.

The network originally ordered 10 episodes, but is declining to pick up the second 10 "back end."

Earlier the network renewed dramas "Pretty Little Liars" and "Secret Life of the American Teenager."

Anyone who watches Outsourced should punch themselves in the face.

Chase is now red.

I need a few more weeks to see if I should put Chuck at green and the Event orange.

No chance....at least I hope not. It's back to back with Smallville so I would think rating would boost, not tank.

Is the show in danger?

This is about last week:

Quote:
The CW shows followed the rest of the broadcast pack down. Both Smallville and Supernatural fell to a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating, down 23% and 17% from their fast affiliate ratings last Friday. Update: Smallville had a 0.6 rating in the CW target women 18-34 demo, and Supernatural had a 0.9 women 18-34 rating. Those 1.0 adults 18-49 ratings are about where the middle of the bell curve is for CW ratings now, quite good for Friday shows.
