I ordered about a week ago and managed to get both Lion King sequels. Maybe they locked those out since? My enrolment order just arrived yesterday too!

I'm a first-timer to the DMC and have a few questions.

1) I just got the "your order has been shipped" e-mail. How long does it take from that e-mail to me receiving it at home? Is it like Amazon.ca and I get it within 1-2 days? (I'm in Ottawa)

2) Sounds like an odd question but are they Canadian bar coded movies (language, Canadian rating, etc...) since it's based in Canada or they ship the US versions?

I'm in the GTA, and the last 3 orders I've placed all took a weeks time after I received the shipment confirmation email. They ship from the US so it's not the Canadian version.

Did this ever happen to anyone? I am doing it right. I had even saved the URLs and the links worked just fine yesterday.
The URL trick no longer works.

I have 7 Disney animation titles on the way for a cost of just under $23 Canadian. I have 2 more titles to buy at $29.95 or higher to fulfill my commitment. Also, 3D titles are available for your obligation titles, they are priced at $39.95, but they have pretty much all of them including: Nightmare Before Christmas, Bolt, Meet The Robinsons, Toy Story 1,2,3, Lion King, etc. So after buying 2 more titles at $29.95 U.S.+$3.95 shipping, i figure the 9 titles will come out to approximately $10.40 Canadian each after conversion. Pretty sweet deal for people looking for Disney because you can even get titles such as Cars 2, The Lion King, Beauty and The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, etc as part of your initial offer.
which US mailing service do you use? I also live in Vancouver and can easily cross the border anytime. does DMC send tracking number once they ship the blu rays? Thanks.

Just got my order today and they all have the Canadian barcodes/ratings etc...

They also had all of the slipcases except Dinosaur which doesn't have one anyhow.

My mistake, I thought the US versions were just the covers without the subscript french titles that's usually seen on Canadian covers. How are the barcodes different? Also, why is this important?

There's a couple of places, i prefer mailboxes international. You don't get a tracking # from Disney, but you do get an email shipping notification. Usually gets delivered about 7-10 after the shipping notice. The deal isn't as appealing as it used to be since they disabled the url trick though.

The barcodes/serial numbers are different. That's all.

I use an app on my Iphone called My Movies. It's pretty wicked. You scan the barcode and it stores in my library. The Canadian barcodes are not as frequent as the US ones so they sometimes show as "not found".

I was also worried I would get a bilingual package or something like that but no, they are Canadian and in English.
Nothing against the french-canadians (I'm on of them) but I prefer the packaging in the language I will watch the movie in.

I love "My Movies" but they have a strict policy about adding movies to the database about stickers being on the artwork, which means theres some titles that can't/shouldn't be added because they slap a sticker over the barcode for Canada. But, Regardless, I use it and love it.. It's the only app I have, or will pay for. Made putting 333 movies into a database fairly easy =)

I got my DMC mailing yesterday. Featured title for April is Muppets 2-Disc combo (34.95 plus shipping) and there's a double feature with Enchanted for 41.95, which has free shipping, meaning you totally get Enchanted for $2. This seems like a cool deal (Muppets should, at least when ordered individually, come with a 3D card), but if Greg's post is accurate, then $20 Muppets at RCSS totally kills this 'deal.'

disregarded if this is a repost

Did some quick searching for a promo code and couldn't find anything for the Canadian site. I stumbled across this post and hope that someone is aware of a promo code that sweetens the introductory offer on the main page.

Thanks

This one worked for me in Canada. 17674B

You get 5 movies for $1 instead of 4.

I received my free copy of BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA which I watched on the weekend.

It actually was a pretty good movie starring Anna Sophia Robb (SOUL SURFER, RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN, the new Carrie Bradshaw, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY) and Josh Hutcheson (THE HUNGER GAMES, THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT, JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH, JOURNEY 2), two upcoming young stars.

I just ordered the Pinocchio statue yesterday.
