I guess they didn't read any of Lantz's posts....

We all loved that David Lynch box set as well....

Have you tried it on another player mate? I'd have a go at mine but I'm hopeless with such things and couldn't give you a definitive answer either way. My speakers aren't exactly calibrated and neither are my ears unfortunately due to the constant ringing sounds with the occasional church bells going full-dong. Is full-dong a thing?

It's sounds like something Michael Fassbender would do.

YES! It's driving me nuts, and here's the weird part - the audio is delayed on two different blu ray players, but it's in sync when I play it from a PS3 or PS4!

Does anyone know if they ever released an updated version which plays properly on normal players, or an international version?

I've noticed that Ace Ventura is also delayed on normal players, and in sync on the PS. Although the sequel has too fast audio on the PS and only looks right on a standard player with audio delay options. You'd think HDMI would be perfect 🙄

Thanks . All processing on my calibrated Sony EX 500 is off. Sound is Bitstream via HDMI.

Voices are out of sync the whole way through.

It literally doesn't sound good for you copy does it?

I'd get Amazon to replace your BD through their returns centre. If you've had it a while email them first and say yours is faulty. Try and check it on another player though.

I just saw the making off in SD and here the sound was fine. Hmmm. I will send it back and see if the new one is better..

Hmm. Maybe I am only seeing ADR but if that is the case I never experienced it before on any format.

Just got the replacement from Amazon. It seems to be a bit better but some parts are still out of sync. The mouth movements doesn't follow the sound. Take a look at the scene where Dr. Edgemare visits Arnold. The out of synch issue is very apparent here.

So every line of dialogue in that scenes matches the movement of the mouth?

If mouths don't sync with the sound, it might be a dubbing issue. If sounds of kicks and punches are off, however, it looks like something is off with your audio setup, or a problem with this edition. Check earlier in this thread as well as the 'mind-bending' thread and you will find others reacting to this sync issue. Cannot remember if they found a solution, but as some people claim they get perfect sync it must be how the audio is set up among different viewers.

Personally, I noticed a very, very slight audio delay on another edition of this film, but then I know I have not properly set up my audio, so I did not bother to analyze where the problem was.

Atto di Forza - The Italian version. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Total...Blu-ray/50303/

Just received this. It's only 10 euros.

Although the box is in Italian the disc might be better for English speakers. Looking at the review these are the differences I noticed.

1) The only lossless track is English but there are a bunch of dts tracks.
2) Both commentaries and all features are available from the English menu.
3) The trailer has subtitles in a load of languages.
4) It's Region free.
5) It has a 6 page booklet (In Italian)

I haven't watched the film yet but if anyone wants any more info, just ask.

This is probably a stupid question but I'll ask it anyways. I assume this release is better than the Uncut Special Edition SteelBook from Kinowelt Home Entertainment?

Which is the best version of Total Recall to own, the one with the blue-ish cover or the one with the red-ish?

The blue is the original release I think, and has no extras.

The new version has a new transfer approved by Paul Verhoeven and it's better than the earlier release (I haven't gone through it yet but it's had very high praise with the review). I bought the new one for £10 in ASDA and the earlier release as part of the Schwarzenegger set (with Raw Deal and Red Heat), for about £6 so if you can find them cheap it might be worth buying those two sets as you'll get 4 films for not a lot of money. The new one has special features whilst the old release is pretty much bare-bones.

I'd imagine once you've seen the new transfer having watched the old one you'll be off to Rekall to erase it from your memory...

Whichever you choose, the colour timing is also different between the two transfers.

Bought this recently (single disc version) and I also have a sync problem. Notice issues throughout the movie, some parts worse than others.

I do notice a lot of jitter though as if its dropping frames, so could me player cannot handle this disc properly. Don't have another player to test it on though.

Not enough of a problem for me to return it and if it was a big problem I'm sure there would more noise about it and haven't heard of a batch recall (pun intended ).

Kristopher did you ever get a better copy?
