Anything is possible but I would doubt it.

If I must, I would sell my other 2 bds, but its just my preference for separate releases. I would find it odd they would release 1-3 individually, but not the rest. But who knows

I would say release 4/5 and 6/7 at the same time as the set, that way, those who already own 1-3 and don't want to double dip can be happy, AND those who don't already own any of the movies can pick up the set.

Judging by the fact that the first movie and the 2/3 double feature are 9.99 each right now I wouldn't be surprised.

Are 2 and 3 any good? Are they scary?

Thinking of picking this up. Only ones i ever saw was the 1984 original and its remake. And if you count Freddy vs. Jason, I saw that one too lol.

#3 is generally considered the best one besides the original #2 is meh but I'd pay $10 just to own #3 it's pretty awesome and you get to listen to Dokken sing "Dream Warriors" so you can't go wrong

well back when I was a kid both were scary maybe not so much now. IMO 3 is very good and almost on par with the original. 3 serves as a better sequel than part 2. Part 2 seems kind of out of place in the franchise. and yes Part 3 has Dream Warriors by Dokken lol.

I wasn't shocked. The bonus disc was a Region 2 and 4 locked DVD. Considering that Warner Brothers, as a general rule, don't region lock their titles, one can deduce that some of the content on that disc was stuff they didn't have the rights to release in the US, the Freddy's Nightmares episodes being the likely culprit.

Regardless, I imported the UK release, so I'm already set, but it is good to see the set released here, even if it's missing the 5th disc.

You don't need a region free player for the movie discs. They're all region free. However, the bonus disc is region locked to Regions 2 and 4, and is PAL content. A region free player does help in that scenario.

I don't see why not. Admittedly, I've gotten into importing a lot more since getting a region free player, but prior to that, I still imported plenty of titles that were region free, that were released in better versions overseas (such as Highlander), or were much cheaper than the US counterpart (like the Superman Anthology). Not to mention that ordering from Amazon.co.uk, for example, hasn't been anymore difficult for me than ordering from Amazon.com. Yes, if you're not region free, you're still restricted on what you can import, but if you do your research, you can find plenty of good stuff overseas...

My favorites are:

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: Dream Master (1988)
Wes Craven's 'New Nightmare' (1994)

I think Part 2 gets unnecessarily shunned for some reason. Frankly, I don't see the love for Part 3 but that's just me.

That doesn't really make sense - they don't have to region lock to not release it in the US. And I don't think that's true about WB not region locking DVDs as a "general rule". They don't region lock Blu-Rays, but I am not sure the same can be said about DVDs. There are certainly some, but I don't believe it's at all as consistent as their Blu-Ray releases. I could be wrong.

The "Never Sleep Again" documentary actually touches upon this at various moments.

Personally I think 1, 3 and 7 are fantastic while 2 & 5 are better than average; 4 was okay and 6 is almost unwatchable.

To me, Part 1 is still the best.

Part 3 and 4 are great too. More about the mother of Fred!

Part 5 is good but now Freddy is more a Boogeyman star and no scary at all. The interresting thing is the "nightmare version" of the Freddy's birth.

Part 2 is interresting. It's the movie revealing the abandonned factory where Fred worked. But I'm not a fan of the finale and all the gay references! I have gay friends, but I think it was uneccessary for this storyline.

Part 6 is a joke. But, the storyline of Fred before he died is great.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a great idea but not really part of the series. It's one of the best IMO.
