It's not a "repackage" since it's never been released. |

Disc 2*: ANOES 2 / ANOES 3 Disc 3*: ANOES 4 / ANOES 5 Disc 4*: Freddy's Dead / New Nightmare *Double feature discs. This would be the design of the overseas sets WB released, except, as has been said, without the fifth bonus disc. |

Everyone is acting like that Bluray.com listing is anything official. I'm not saying it's not a 4 disc set, but right now we have no idea where this is coming from. I'd wait for an official announcement before taking anything for gospel... even then, WB's announcement for the Terminator Anthology wasn't exactly accurate anyway.
For something that hasn't been officially announced yet with a release date in 1 month, I'm going to guess it's a retailer exclusive (probably Best Buy). |

Good news for fans!
For me, I love the first movie still today and have since seeing it in 1987. I bought the DVD Platinum set in 1999 consisting of movies 1-7 and figured out that I don't like any of the sequels anymore. So, this is a pass for me. I already own the original Bluray of the 1st movie and am happy with that. If this were a Friday the 13th collection, on the other hand... I still like various sequels in that Paramount series to this day so would pick it up in a flash. Now that the Elm Street and Halloween (not in the best form for all movies and I would buy the producer's cut of 6) are done, maybe Paramount will finally finish up their Friday the 13th films on Bluray. |

The Blu-ray.com pre-order listing is from Amazon.com which is showing 4 discs. As always in the consumer world specifications are subject to change till the moment the item is released, and then some. |

i'd assume there's no bonus disc and those features won't be moved over to the blu-rays. i'm pretty certain that the episodes of freddy's nightmares won't be released in the us due to rights issues. it makes sense just to drop the disc completely. if you really want it, get the mexican version.
edit: if there were sets released in other territories that had a bonus disc w/o the tv episodes, we may see that, but i have my doubts. Last edited by CM Matty; 08-29-2012 at 01:05 PM. |
