Did you see their Six Gothic Tales box? That used amarays and it felt special. Reversible covers, hardback book and all that. The book the Hellraiser set will have wouldn't even fit into something like TCM2 or Phibes. I'm normally all for space efficiency, not so much flimsy digipacks but Arrow can do a big fat set with style.

Must be. Got the same response about an order I had with them twice, the only difference was it was signed by different people.

Ok, missed that. Shame as it was a class reply.

Still, it's good info. Because what was left out of the reply was Arrow take your £50 now. For some that can be important having the cash taken unnecessarily, 3 months early.

I decided to cancel my order with Amazon and order from Arrow direct instead, the points I had accumulated brought it down to £38.95 total.

Back in my cinema management days we made up a fake manager from the first names of two actual ones, so that if a letter turned up addressed to them (this was when snailmail was still a major means of communication) we'd know what it was about.

One such letter ended with a "PS) It's so nice dealing with a human being with an actual name"...

I believe it's like that, due to them only accepting payment via Paypal. Although I think Arrow are working on having an option to use debit/credit cards in future (was mentioned in a recent survey they did).

I didn't bother to check Zavvi's site earlier, however I was just on there and it was still listed for £44.99. I assumed because someone else stated it was £49.99 several posts above mine yesterday that it had gone back up.

I can pay for a pizza 3 weeks after I eat it with Paypal, don't see why that couldn't apply to pre-ordering a film.

I dont like paying up front for pre orders.
So wont order from Arrow.
I POed Amazon hoping price drops. Plenty of time left for them to do that.

Yeah, Amazon will surely lower it a bit at some point. Even if not, them removing VAT makes it roughly the same price for me anyway, and I don't have to pay way ahead of time, which would throw off my "allowance" agreement with the wife.

This is my first time ordering directly from Arrow. Being in the US, what can I expect as far as shipping times?

I usually receive my orders roughly a week before release.

My point being Paypal doesn't make you pay instantly anymore. The whole idea of their delayed payment scheme is to let you receive a product and check it's ok before you pay, applying that to pre-ordered items seems like an obvious use, though it may not currently cover 3 month lead times!

Same here : about a week before the official release date. However, there are exceptions where I got them earlier than this, even up to a month for Knightriders and a couple of others (Hound of the Baskervilles and either Retaliation or Massacre Gun).

It just dropped to £50.50 on Amazon. Without VAT it's £42.08, not including shipping:
