This will be my triple dip. I have the 3D version, Vudu UHD, and will be getting the physical UHD disc to support the cause.

First dip for me, got it free on GooglePlay but 720p or whatever it is & on stream is pretty craptacular. Want to hear the commentary too, I've got a 4K tv but not a 4K player but since it also includes normal bluray I can futureproof my purchase

Flixster is so buggy in my experience, Vudu on the other hand is far superior IMO

Guess I can't double up. I bought 4k digital from Vudu a few weeks ago when I got my new TV. And U already have HDX from getting the original blu-ray.

I just finished watching the 4K Blu-ray. Afterwards I went and compared each chapter stop to make sure the frame was exact.

The 4K blu-ray is definitely benefitting from the Wide Color Gamut and HDR. So many of the scenes in Pacific Rim are filmed in the rain/dark or under water. These scenes are quite improved with the 4K release. The armor of the Jaegers really pops with the additional detail and color. When they are inside, the colors are almost beaming off the screen. This is one of the times I wish there was 4K 3D. I saw this movie in IMAX 3D and just loved the presentation. The uptick in resolution is apparent but not as much in the movie The Shallows. I'm planning to watch it in 3D tomorrow. This way I can compare it after just watching the 4K presentation.

If you are a fan of this movie, this is definitely worth the double dip. The 4K presentation is rock solid. This is demo material.
