Die Hard - 5 stars - The Greatest action movie of all time. The script, the editing, the acting, it's all perfect.

Die Hard 2: Die Harder - 3 Stars - The movie starts out boring. the fact that it's so dead set to follow the first movie's formula, but worse is ultimately it's downfall. However, as the movie goes on, the less it focuses on the the airport. It's no coincidence that the third act, which barely features the airport at all, is the best part of the movie and genuinely great.

Die Hard With a Vengeance - 4 1/2 Stars - While I don't like John divorcing at the beginning of the movie, everything else is great. Evolving at a time when the concept of "Die Hard but on a _______" had been done many times after Die Hard, It keeps the feel of Die Hard, as well as the focus on our heroes rather than the action, but blends it with some fresh buddy cop, Samuel L, and larger scale blood. Excellent sequel that changes things up while keeping what made Die Hard so special to begin with.

Live Free or Die Hard - 2 Stars - Kevin Smith in a Die Hard movie. It's not the only problem with the movie, but I feel it sums it up. The movie changes things up, but lacks the feel of Die Hard and ultimately failed to keep me invested.

A Good Day to Die Hard - Title: 5 Stars - Movie: 0 Stars - Nothing in this movie is good. NOTHING. This movie should have been aborted while it was still a fetus being written by some Criminal Against Humanity.

Not a big fan of the cover, but I'll still buy it, even if it's a T2 level disaster. I'm a sucker for this movie.

That seems to be an ever-present fixture on a lot of temp 4K art coming from India at the moment, I guess playing it on an Xbone is a big deal over there.

Don't know which version you have been watching, but I didn't think it looked too good when I watched it last Christmas. It might have 11 years ago, but a new transfer now won't hurt I think.

Unless they pull a T2 UHD, I think this is going to look great on UHD.

Btw did anyone see the 4K (sans HDR) version on iTunes? If so, how did it hold up PQ wise?

The movie got a 4K remaster for the 25th anniversary. Saw it myself in the cinema. Fox put up this sweet-ass mural on the side of one of their soundstages to celebrate the anniversary, as well as shill that godawful 5th movie of course.

4K is really going to make the Tony stunt double stick out worse. That double’s wig always kills me.

And Die Hard still has the worst ending to a great movie ever. The last 2 minutes are so bad.

Please don't screw this up.
Please don't teal the heck out of the films and color grade them properly as each successive home video transfer has had a different look.
Please include the original audio tracks in lossless quality and don't screw with them.

Oh heck, who am I kididng? This is why I have every major release so far for 1-3 from LD onwards. I can bet there will be something messed up.

Still good to see they're FINALLY going to release this after hawking the same discs for years. Maybe the 4K set will actually include the Unrated LFODH!
