A box around all of the individual legacy sets and the 48-page book was how it was repackaged for the DVD release. Since this set seems to include duplicates, I would think that this release will be packaged similar to the DVD.

There was another one in the series-Murders In the Zoo. It and Island of Lost Souls stood out because they were Paramount titles. The Blu-ray release of IoLS came from Criterion. I don't know who has the rights to Murders (still Universal, I'm guessing) but like Island it's Pre-Code and pretty brutal. Especially it's opening sequence. ![]() |

This set will still have dupes although the Creature and Invisible Man sets coming out won’t.

Strange that that DVD set still packaged the DVDs with the slips. Mine didn’t do that.

Your right, I misinterpreted it.
You mentioned the House of Frankenstein/House of Dracula (double) as having larger files sizes then the Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man/House of Frankenstein/House of Dracula (triple) disc, did you by chance verify that? I only ask because that would have required a different encoding for those movies, and many times when something like this happens they keep the same encoding and just use less disk space. The only thing I'm concerned about is how Universal will package these 24 discs. Will it be one of those cardboard sleeve packages that scratch the discs? Universal must be getting tired of replacing damaged discs by now. Will they instead use three 8 disc blu-ray cases with a large enough cardboard slip case? Maybe I'll just stick with the individual legacy sets that use regular cases. Still hoping that THE BLACK CAT, THE RAVEN, and THE INVISIBLE RAY get a blu-ray release in my lifetime. And then, once I have bought all these, and only then will Universal start releasing these in 4K and I'll have to start the vicious wallet draining cycle all over again.

I read it over a year ago, but I believe House of Frank was some 7+% higher bit rate and House of Drac around 10+% higher. Don't quote me on that, but the point is that the double disc Blu-ray did have a higher bit rate for both House movies when compared to the triple disc Blu-ray that contained Meets Wolf Man.
