So just watched it and it was... fine. It’s not bad. It’s not great. It’s just fine. I think the film could have really benefitted from a tighter edit, but otherwise it was good fun.

LOL! Fan service? That's okay, because as a fan of good Star Wars, as opposed to bad Star Wars (i.e. Kennedy/Abrams/Johnson), I'll take it. It all comes down to execution for me. The sequel trilogy is executed poorly to me.

I thought this movie was horrible. Only the DC completionist in me will eventually pick this up on 4k for an extremely low price.

What a terrible movie. This is one of DC's worst movies imo

Kennedy produced your Avatar and hired the writers and directors and show runners.

Yeah, but she had very little, if any, creative input. That was all the Favreau/Filoni show.

That's how I felt. My husband, on the other hand, hated it. I almost lost my privileges to pick the next movie to watch.

The Atmos mix was basically non existent (Spare Change's Trinnov object monitor tells the story too). Very front heavy with rolled off bass. The CGI was cheap and plasticy. Then there's the movie itself... it was worse than the first with an even more lousy villain than before. As others have mentioned, the pacing is all over the place and needed a heavy re-edit. The content of the script did not earn itself the long run time. It lingered where it shouldn't. Plus, the fact that this random dude got used and tossed, just because they needed to bring Steve back for fan service. WTF? They could have just brought him back, but something goes horribly wrong. They couldn't come up with anything, but a carbon copy of Catwoman with the exact same "bumbling klutz turns into an overconfident she-tigress" character arc as Batman Returns??

“Only in your mind, my young padawan.” - Obi-Wan Kenobi

Kennedy was heavily involved in Mandalorian. She was on set quite a lot (pictures and behind the scenes prove this), the scripts had to be approved by her etc. She was more heavily involved than you believe. Kathleen Kennedy has been heavily involved creatively with ALL Star Wars projects since she took over.

Favreau and Filoni do not have free reign to do whatever they want. Kennedy is a key creative voice in the decision making process.

Also, Filoni utterly adores The Last Jedi and was heavily involved during the development of it. So... yeah.

Anyway. Wonder Woman.

I'll give her credit where credit is due in her contribution and her hiring Favreau and Filoni, but there's no doubt in my mind that F & F are steering that ship.

Some fan made covers I made. Regardless of the thoughts of the movie theres some incredible promotional artwork for this movie which could look very nice as a 4k cover or even steelbook. Also wb have just announced they are fast tracking Wonder Woman 3 with Jenkins and Gadot returning.

I think there were only 2 sequences shot in IMAX, the opening as a kid Diana and the Egypt action scene

Wait, was the Egypt scene in IMAX? I saw it at IMAX and don't recall that being the case, but I could be mistaken. I only remember the opening scene and the very end scene in IMAX; and the last scene was strangely pointless to have opened up imo. Kind of disappointing IMAX had been touting this so much when so little was actually in the ratio.
