I personally feel someone new should be the main focus already. I mean, wasn't the whole point of Sidney in Scream 5 was to just "pass the touch" once and for all?

Maybe Courtney Cox as she has talked about returning but doesn’t seem to be one of the big casting announcements (likely a small role but something they can advertise). I gather they probably don’t want to kill Sidney and Neve has also said she’s against that (and even questions the decision to kill Dewey), but Gale is probably fair game.

I hated Scream 5 but the high point was far and away Jenna Ortega. She's the perfect new heroine. You can build even more sympathy for her character and fix one of the last movies biggest problems by killing off her friends and Sister in the opening. They were all terrible.

Sid coming back and surviving every time just makes it a bit ridiculous. Leave her out of the movie.

I feel we need a nice strong opening sequence this time around. Scream 5 was weak in that sense.

Big names who weren't returning from a previous film, sure. Other than Cotton, all of the opening kills were new characters we didn't know.

Glad to see Kirby coming back. I hope she isn't the opening kill, but something tells me she might be. I'd bet decent money we're going to lose at least 1 of the returning characters- probably one of the Meeks twins (Chad was supposed to die in 5 but was saved, so he's a good bet). Between Kirby and Mindy, it'll be interesting to have 2 horror movie buffs around. Could be fun to see them try and outdo each other with their knowledge.

Other than Ortega, it's not like the new cast was just bubbling with charisma. I don't think anyone will care if they died, certainly not as much as Randy or Dewey.

Yeah, I made mistake of getting hyped for it but I was majorly underwhelmed.
