And there you have it.
Ignorance is bliss, especially when you cannot take the time to research the technology before spouting off publically. |

2nd- The Samsung players does resume playback on regular non-java discs. While watching a movie, just hit the power button to turn off the unit. DO NOT HIT THE STOP BUTTON (IT WILL NOT RESUME IF YOU DO THAT). When you power the unit back on again, the movie should resume playback right where you left off........ Hope this hepls. |

ok , how do we know which disc has java or non-java
I might exchange for PS3 today my XBR6 and 1500 are brand new and I notice sometime pixel are flashing during watching movies . Have to really pay attention to see it, especially dark scenes. What is the problem I don't know, might be tv or player ??? |

Any BD disc that you see that's loading just like a video game. Example of such discs are the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Keep in mind that there are currently NO BD players on the market that resume playback on those discs. However, recent BD releases are coming out with the bookmark option that in my opinion is very helpful. On a side note, Sony stand alone players does not resume playback from power off even on non- java discs. PS3 is the only Sony BD player that resumes playback on the non-Java discs. |

Interesting, I have watched several Blue-Ray movies (non-Java) and I have been able to hit stop once and resume just fine on my 1500 player. |

That's exactly what I am trying to say. If you power the unit off It won't resume playback if you hit the stop button first. However, if you turn off the unit while watching a movie *without* pressing the stop button, the movie will start right where you left off.......
