It was the second that was set in Racoon only. You are right that they bare little resemblance to what the games are, but they are damn enjoyable films IMO. Looking forward to the forth as much as the previous 2.

Love all the RE films. The Afterlife trailer rocks I think Afterlife might end up being the best installment in the series.

I' am not even a "Hardcore RE fan" lol. I just think they are a complete disgrace to the games. I have played them all, and they are lightyears away from what they should be. Romero's script should have been made instead of this garbage they try to pass off as Resident Evil.

I say if you don't like it than why bother wasting your type lashing out in it and just mellow out.

For the rest who do enjoy watching RE movies and just losing yourself in them good for you.

RE4 looks like they will have some RE5 Game characters in their which would had been nice if they approach this film from that direction (reboot?) all in all can't wait to see this eye candy and relax.

I haven't seen any of these movies, and I've only played the 5th game (I did notice the manjini in there) and to be honest, I'm actually proud of the fact they filmed it in 3D, as I hope that's how 3D is managed in the future, though it looks a bit in your face.

I may see it, I hope it will be OK, I haven't heard good stuff from the other 3!

I hope 3D is filmed like that as well but like you said, it is a bit 'in your face' which is not how it should be handled. I thought it was funny that almost all the text in the trailer was advertising the 3D and not the movie itself.

Anyway, it looks like it will be entertaining enough. I think the people who watch it in 2D are going to be annoyed with how many shots are done for the sole purpose of 3D.
