How can they have such a small crowd for a PPV? Those pics are hard to look at. Must have been painful for them to perform

The days of local territories are pretty much gone. Yeah you have a few mom and pop promotions that work at the local school gym or what not, but NWA territories and such are dead. Once WCW and WWE became huge and took the business to a new level, indy promotions died slowly. I mean TNA is the #2 wrestling promotion in the country after WWE, but it's a far far far #2 gap. ROH is probably the 3rd only because of name, but lots of casual fans don't know they exist. And their talent has been raided by WWE and TNA. WWE is on TV I think 5 days a week, and they've monopolized the business so much that only people care about the big names and watching them. |

Watching this PPV online right now, and it loks much more packed thn the pictures.
The arena is obviously darkened to cover the higher decks and we're never actually shown the side of the arena where the camera is which from the pictures is the side that was tarped off. ![]() They actually show some camera angles of the camera side, where it actually looks some what packed in the bleachers (didn't say sold out, but packed). |

All things considered I think the PPV was a success. Didn't have higher attendance like past BFG's Slammiveraries, but they're branching out now to the West Coast.
I personally think they should've done the PPV in Philly, Jersey, or New York, charge dirt cheap for tickets to get butts in the seats and make it look like some amazing spectacle for TV. If there's anybody who can oversell like Joey Styles, it's probably Mike Tenay. Also, I've been with TNA since the beginning... and I think it's time for them to change the initials. You can't be a company that doesn't have the W initial in it for wrestling. ROH got lucky that it was very catchy and at least it had Ring in it. I know they've tried to re-brand it from TNA to !Mpact Wrestling, but call it ICW (Impact Championship Wrestling) and it may be more catchy to the casual fan. Total Nonstop Action is probably the last thing I'm thinking off when I hear TNA. lol Last edited by A Sith Lord?; 10-23-2013 at 07:46 AM. |

Putting them on a channel that's in more homes and letting them do their own thing would be "best for business" but we all know he'd do another poor invasion angle and scuttle the show just to get one 'mania out of Sting.

How cool would it be if Vince and WWE buy TNA and then let Paul Heyman build a new ECW. Run it like a separate company but then do mini invasion angles yet still be on its own. WWE would be for the kids, TNA would be the older fans who miss the Attitude era. I think a new tv network would be a must. WWE would make alot more money if another viable company was under their flag.

But more than likely I see it as just getting rid of the current #2 wrestling company, and obtaining the video catalog and some talent contracts. |

I guess it's the beginning of the end now. If WWE buys it I don't see anything fancy happening as mentioned above just them buying it and ending it. It would be wierd to see WWE acknowledge TNA and start off an invasion angle

I knew this was coming, I see either Eric Bischoff or Shane McMahon buying and continuing TNA, but if WWE does, then I'm sure that TNA will cease to exist. They just haven't been the same since they switched to Spike TV
