Connery was Bond for 9 years and 6 films
Roger Moore was bond for 12 years and 7 films
Pierce Brosnan was bond for 7 years and 5 films

Daniel Craig has been bond for 9 years and 4 films, with 1 more under contract that's probably 2 or 3 years out.

It's absolutely time to reboot bond again. Though unfortunately by the time it happens, which will realistically be 2020 or so, Elba will be too old.
Brosnan did 4 Bond films. Of course, Connery did a 7th unofficial Bond.

Guys lets discuss the movie, but not race. Discussions dealing with politics, religion, and race tend to be very divisive.

Guys, the casting of Bond has nothing at all to do with this film. Craig is Bond in SPECTRE, any speculation or discussion of future Bond actors is irrelevant to this thread.

Blu Titan already posted a warning which has been completely ignored. We don't need to be discussing race issues in this thread. It's the same as Religion and politics, it's only needed to be discussed if it's relevant to the actual movie.

Bond has only officially been "rebooted" once, with Casino Royale because it was a special circumstance. The previous 20 films are all considered to be a single continuity (granted, not a very tight continuity). When the time comes that a new actor assumes the role, it should continue on from where Craig left off with the actor playing the "same" Bond. No more reboots please!

New Bond novel in Autumn http://www.theguardian.com/books/201...thony-horowitz I've hated all the other non-Fleming books except Kingsley Amis' Colonel Sun but this looks intriguing, fitting into the series after Goldfinger and even incorporating an unused piece of Fleming.

The link is blocked owing to the site not liking Miss Galore's first name, just change it in the link or Google Trigger Mortis.

From everything we've heard, does this seem like it will be Craig's last Bond outing? I know he's under contract for one more, but from the script rumors, it seems very much like a "Dark Knight Rises"-type ending for his arc.

In regards to the above post, I also thought Jeffrey Deaver's "Carte Blanche" would have been an excellent book to adapt for the films- I even thought what became Skyfall might have been going in that direct before we heard more, with Javier Bardem as the villain form that book.

Carte Blanche does have adaptation potential, certainly better than the utterly rank Devil May Care. Depending on how SPECTRE ends I suppose it might be possible for Craig to appear in the next one not as its star but to set up the next Bond if they wanted to use the James Bond/007 as codename theory. When I watched No One Lives I thought Luke Evans could make a rather good Bond

At least in this case, we'll soon have definitive proof which one of us is the dick. I wonder if you'll have the grace to apologise? I doubt it.

I don't mind that you and Gamma Winstead don't believe me but do you both have to be so nasty and insulting about it? I've worked in film, theatre and TV in the UK for nearly thirty years and it really isn't that odd that I should have come into contact with some of these people. I'm not claiming to be best mates with any of them. I was, myself, rather surprised that the "source" in question was so indiscreet during what was a brief conversation about an unrelated work issue.

I hear quite a lot of "insider" information but almost never mention it here, despite your accusation that I'm an "attention seeker". I made an exception for this only because I'm a Bond fan and I thought other Bond fans would get a kick out of it; and also because I thought it would be amusing to break such a big story on a small forum like this one. I thought people enjoyed a bit of "inside" info now and then. Clearly I was wrong.

It is quite funny, I suppose, to see you ridicule the information so authoritatively, given its source. From the arrogant tone of both of you, I suspect what really riles you is realising that you are not as knowledgeable as you think you are; that, and some rather pathetic, misplaced envy.

Personally, I don't live in a world where I suspect people of posting complete garbage in the hope of some adulation from a few members of a home theatre forum. The fact that you're so ready (eager even) to believe such a thing says more about your need for attention than mine. It implies that doing just that has at least crossed your minds. And if you find it hard to believe that someone "connected" would be posting here, that's only because you imagine that - if you were "connected" in such a way - the first thing you'd do would be to stop conversing with "normal" people; preferring to spend your days in Monaco on a permanently-moored yacht, drinking champagne from the skulls of everyone who ever said you wouldn't do "shit" with your life.

Whether I was right or not to post this, what I've said here is completely true, regardless of what you (or I) may have read about contracts or script leaks. The use of the word "impossible" - as in "impossible" for Craig to return - is verbatim, not my invention. I don't know what it means either as it was not appropriate to push further. I note you haven't questioned the other information about Craig's knee injury: There was concern voiced that this means they've had to shoot some of the action scenes in smaller chunks, which may lead to SPECTRE being slightly more choppily-edited than they'd have liked. I hope not, as I'd really like to see Craig have two truly great Bonds to bookend his era.

Anyway, over to Wynt and Kidd for some more insults. Like Bond, I shall return, either to eat crow or to remind them of their rudeness.
Pray tell, where was I rude and insulting? I'd love to know what it was that I said that insulted you. I said you didn't even have a source, of course people didn't believe you. Then you listed the main actors of the film, and the foremost bond producer. So yes, I don't believe you, or at least question your validity. It's only human to question things, and not take people at face value. You claim to not be "best mates" with them, but also claim they've shared private information that they have not shared with the press, nor apparently the rest of the crew of the film. If they had, this would be news.

Now, if you signed a non-disclosure agreement, that makes you even less trustworthy, since the first thing you did was blab on a home theater forum. If word got out that you were the first person to let this leak, it would be your career. Any personal or professional relationship you've nurtured over thirty years could be absolutely destroyed by that.

So yes. I'm skeptical, my questions of the validity of your information still stand, and I hope a hard working man like yourself wouldn't risk your career for the sake of trying to look cool on a forum. After all, why else would you be posting this? As someone who works in the film industry, you must understand the value of trust and secrecy.

You can't go anywhere, post to know super secret information, and expect everyone to believe you. I have not been rude, nor insulting. I have simply questioned you. If you believe someone questioning your information to be rude and insulting, than I truly believe that tells us more about your information than you ever will.

You're basically calling me a liar or a fantasist. That's both "rude" and "insulting" in my book.

And now you're just making stuff up in a desperate attempt to make me look bad. Of course I didn't sign an NDA, don't be ridiculous. If I had, I would honour it - I would have to. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. A lot of "secret" stuff is spoken about quite openly in the industry, just like in every other profession. Do you really think you have to sign an NDA every time you go to an interview or attend some sort of function, on the off-chance you might hear some information? I know this is a Bond thread but none of these things are matters of National Security, however outraged you evidently are by my appalling act of treachery.

Your logic that it can't be true because you would have heard it from the press or a crew member is also nonsensical. They haven't shared it with the press yet - at least not officially; but I'm sure they will, timed to fit their marketing strategy. And crew members very likely HAVE signed an NDA as part of their contracts. What bearing does this have on my veracity?

And please - don't fret so for me: Even if I was uncovered as the source of this information - which, again, you'll note I have not disseminated anywhere else - it would not be the end of my career. It was told to me nonchalantly and unsolicited with not even a caveat of "keep it to yourself". Don't be so melodramatic. Your claiming of the moral high ground is laughable in this context, as well as a transparent attempt at self-aggrandisement.

But hey - you've made your point. You've got what you wanted. I don't need to share this information - I genuinely thought it would spark excited discussion, not attacks on my character and credibility - but I see now this was naive. I will leave such information to "trusted" sites like The Daily Mail or Latino Review; where, by the way, you will never get even a hint of the sources.

Shame, though, because I've got some really juicy gossip about the next two Star Wars movies....

I watched all of the Bond movies in January after getting the Bond 50 BD set for my b-day in Dec so I am due another go round with the series. Might do the one every Friday watch too. But Bond films are like potato chips... can't just watch one so I doubt I can space it out until SPECTRE.

Default Rumor: Adele to Record SECTRE Theme.

ADELE has recorded the theme tune to new James Bond film Spectre.

She will make history by becoming the first singer to perform the title track on back-to-back 007 flicks.

Naive? That's an understatement. This is a message board forum on the internet. And while you may be telling the honest truth, you're throwing enough vagueness to cast doubt upon your story. The net is awash with unsubtantiated rumors old and new. Time will tell if your story has veracity, then we'll be more likely to believe any other juicy tidbits you may offer up in the future.

IDK about this. I'm no hater but she's not my favourite. She did a fine job with Skyfall, but I like a bit of variety with the theme songs.
