No, it's not. Please learn about film and developing, and maybe look at the history of photography to see that all photos in the photochemical realm were not tinted green. The colors in that behind the scenes set are not balanced, and 100% not correct or indicative of how it should look. It's really just common sense at this point that the jeep isn't (or shouldn't) look green, so theres zero debate on whether or not the colors on that still are correct. Hint: they are not.

In addition, along with your extensive knowledge of photochemical film processes, you'd also know that different film stocks inherently skew toward different looks and contrast (some redder, some greener, etc). Yet another reason why comparing some behind the scenes photo shot by an intern is the last thing you can compare to the actual look of a film that's professionally shot (on even different stock, no less) then color timed.

I also never said it shouldn't be either warmer or cooler, but you can't determine that from a behind the scenes still that's not even close to being accurate.

Colors looks amazing with your adjustments, red is no longer orange but red as it should . Could you also adjust screenshot below in the same way?

S_har- thanks for the CGI Trex screenshots. CGI moments looks soft, but that was to be expected and I really happy with increase in details overall (non CGI screenshots, because that's 99% of movie running time). With better colors, and no EE Jurassic Park UHD disc should blow away BD transfer .

Thanks. I did indeed export them without a color profile. It should be noted that even if I had the screencaps would still not display the colors that are present on disc though.
As stated in an earlier post the method I've used for capturing from UHD disc involves a workflow that does not carry over the correct colors and because of that they are intended solely for giving an impression of resolution, use of DNR etc, not for judging colors or dynamic range.

Yeah the CGI shots while some of them a bit soft looking are still good looking and blends very well with the non-CGI shots. I think mostly the daytime CGI shots are the ones that 'sticks out' (the first brachiosaurus encounter and the herd of running gallimimus), but I don't think anyone of us wasn't expecting that. The use of CGI during the nighttime and interior shots however are still holding up and blends extremely well with the practical effects shots in my opinion.

I'm personally only interested in what a good trained eye has to say about this release. That's what I'm licking my chops waiting for Screens are good and all but meaningless.

There is also something wrong with the 4K. The color grading changes drastically from warm/yellow, to cool/pink the next. The colours have no consistency. How can this happen?

The UHD grade is often very cool, similar to the 2011 BD, which I noted in my initial impressions. To me it looked better when I changed my TV from Warm2 to Warm3. And I noticed the inconsistency as well, particularly the beginning has some oddly warm shots.

Don't wanna quote the pictures, but the 4k version looks very flat compared to the Blu Ray. Texture isn't as good and the dimensionality is not even close.

Well it's pretty much following Blu-Ray. Universal was always the most notorious studio for being cheap and lazy with catalog titles. Other studios knew their HD scans during the DVD era were outdated and usually did new ones. Universal just liked to slap some DNR and EE on their old HD scans and put them on Blu-Ray.

I was kind of hoping they would knock 4K out of the park though-- like it was all some elaborate long-term plan to have mediocre Blu-Ray transfers so when they did 4K discs they would be phenomenal must-have upgrades by comparison. Maybe not though
