So I bought the 4K edition of First Blood today at Best Buy for 7.99. I don’t have a 4K TV Yet as my first one got stolen when my apartment got robbed. I must say though, the remastered Blu is leaps and bounds better than the original disc.

Maybe because it's a great film. I must be up to 10 different releases at this point.

If anyone has any extra 4K copies of part 2 & 3 unopened, hit me up with a price. Unfortunately I missed these over Black Friday. Thanks!

I’ve bought a VHS re-release in the 90s. VCD, DVD, SE DVD, BD and 4K. 6 for me. Just watched it on my birthday, great film. Better than I remembered.

Lots of more modern films look like that by design, like Suicide Squad. I do agree it's a flaw with First Blood though.

That's true. Rambo: First Blood Part II have much better black levels in general and the night scenes in the jungle looks really good.

Not even The Last Jedi? I don't have it, but I've read it's more grey than black.

Really? I watched this last night and thought the black levels were milky grey which made the night scenes tough to watch (almost to the point of a fault). Maybe it was a bad idea to watch this before First Blood?

Yeah, black levels (if you can call them black at all) are shitty on First Blood, too. I'm amazed their hasn't been a wider backlash.

I gotta say I'm pretty shocked by this as well. Black levels are almost non existent with First Blood. I haven't seen another transfer like it. I know the first pressings of the blu ray for Arachnophobia got recalled and corrected due to non existent black levels though. I haven't revisited the First Blood remaster since my initial viewing when it first came out due to the issue.
