Don’t have inside info, but based on recent months, I suspect they brought the Dust Devil announcement forward due to Kino Lorber announcing their version and they’ll be a further December announcement next week.

Great customer service from Umbrella again. They’ve combined my Freaked and Dust Devil pre-orders and refunded both shipping costs

We are so close to our reveal of December titles, including a mix of hotly anticipated releases with some curveballs out of left field.

Tune in tomorrow at 3:30PM AEST for the full details.

Someone on Facebook suggested (aside from Quest for Fire) that two of the others could be Looking for Alibrandi & Dogma.

I'm assuming that may be Greta Scacchi from Looking for Alibrandi (in purple) and Dogma could be the one in green?

I got mine, and maybe I'm mental, but there seemed to be some sort of mix-up with the audio tracks.

Naturally, I selected the 2.0 track, but to my chagrin felt it sounded a bit like a downmix. No new effects or music, but that stereo-y echo you get when audio is weakly spread. I wonder if it is mono, but suffering from some sort of phasing?

I thought I'd check the 5.1 track to compare, and strangely enough, it sounded more like mono to me. Basically the same track but without that stereo-y echo/speaker leakage. Six-channel mono? Anyone...?
I can't speak for this disc, but Money Movers was mono in cinemas originally,, so any stereo track would be a remix. The first Australian film with a Dolby Stereo soundtrack was Mad Max 2 three years later. (Oz (1976), aka Twentieth Century Oz, apparently was released with a four-track mag stereo soundtrack in places, but the DVD release was mono.)

An extra incentive for putting Looking for Alibrandi out is that it's its twenty-fifth anniversary this year. I believe it's had a restoration recently too.

I'm not seeing Dogma in the green - but they had promised it "this year."

A few 2025 teases from earlier this year - Memento, Jodorowsky, and I feel like one other - seem to have been pushed off since they don't seem to fit there. Or is that yellow egg Jodorowsky?

Delays are just as well from my perspective, and until I know what to expect from this tariff nonsense I have to hold off on pre-ordering (or just get things from Diabolis/Orbit).

Presumably Quest For Fire is going to be cut?

Oh, and the one in blue is Bambi: The Reckoning, which is one of those dreadful cheap and quick horrors taking advantage of Disney characters lapsing into the public domain.

I'm guessing the yellow is the already soft-announced Angel's Egg?

Why would Quest For Fire be cut?

I don't recall it being cut when it was first release back in 1981/82. It carried an R rating and if anything should probably be M by todays standards.

I thought Aus home video releases typically followed UK BBFC regs when it comes to animal cruelty?

We often get the same discs as the UK for major studio releases, but that's just a cost-saving thing on their part.

Holy Mountain...Infernal Affairs....Dogma....Doom Generation....Memento/Following...were among the significant titles that had been teased for 2025 that I think are still unannounced. A few others, but those seem like the bigger titles, but prob. holding them for a big 2026 splash!

Was Infernal Affairs ever touted to be a UHD release?
