So I've been pretty salty about my town's only pawn shop having thousands of DVDs and only like 15 blu-rays...

Today I went in there with my mother (both had a day off so thought we'd do stuff together) and she knows one of the people working there. I made a joke about the DVD to Blu ratio and he mentioned he has hundreds of blurays in the back. I asked to go back and look... but the best he could do was bring out one of the boxes to look through. Said he'd show me another next time I came.

So this was the haul I made out of it. 22$ later, was also gonna get Pirates 4 and Wall-E, but he was pricing from Amazon and Walmart, so 9$ each? I'm close to my next 5 for 1$ signup. I'll wait haha.

Finally found the non-Double Feature release of Butterfly Effect

Only one tv show was in the box, Heroes S2, hopefully next time they'll be a show I like that I can grab for cheap... Friends seasons for 5$ each would be beautiful.

Pawn shop down the street from job just marked down all their blu-rays to a flat $2 -- including TV series sets. Unfortunately that meant the had-been $5 SILENT RUNNING blu I came in to get was already gone, but I wound up leaving there with three Blu-Rays -- RONIN, THREE BILLBOARDS and 61* -- for six bucks.

Put that together with my no-case-disc-only BR finds for Criterion STAGECOACH, TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE and SUPERMAN (grand total $1.50) and it has been a pretty good last couple of weeks. (if I add DVD to that disc-only list, then there's FORT APACHE THE BRONX, THE EDUKATORS, 12 ANGRY MEN and THE PARTY for another two bucks.)

Now if I could just fall across ATTACK THE BLOCK and THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES ...
