I got a general delayed email this morning regarding the WIND RIVER 4K saying that I won't be getting it in the original timeframe (which was to be delivered by the 13th), so I'm not sure it's actually going to get released on the 10th.

I'm at Walmart right now and see those new horror steelbooks. They have them all. I'm interested in a few. But just getting Wolf Creek. As it never had a US release and just had the DVD. Also found a steelbook of Chicago the 20th anniversary edition for $5 in the bump bin.

I looked for them, too, since Walmart breaks street dates all the time. No tags for the steelbooks at my Walmart either. They also didn’t put the standard editions out early either.

I don’t understand not carrying Inside Out 2 4k. It’s the highest grossing animated film of all time. For around $50 with tax, I hope they’re packing the Walmart.com shipments well. I hope they get all these Late Night With the Devil steelbook orders out. Lot of people cancelleing orders from other retailers and going with Walmart now.

Likely varies by stores, but one of the WMs I frequent had a hidden movie section in one of the video game aisles. It was mainly Steelbooks and special slipcovers from retired endcap displays. Nothing was clearance, but it did seem like a good way to find second chance items.

I just wish they would restock the Halloween sidewing. I was wanting that Beetlejuice Steelbook.

They had all the new releases for this coming Tuesday.

I picked up 3 4ks.

They also had steelbook for Stardust and The Stand.

When I was there yesterday I didn't see anything. Just the 4k, bd, DVD and the 4 film set on either DVD or bd.

Walmart doesn’t care about street dates. I’ve been able to purchase titles early. The challenge is actually having the product on the shelves.

I went to self checkout. They only had to okay it since I was buying R Rated movies.

As mentioned Walmart usually don't seem to care. I remember I bought Pearl on bd a few weeks in advance. There was the one time I just to buy a bd and the system wouldn't let me. It was when I was trying to buy Death On The Nile a few days before release. But other than that I've never had a problem.

Target on the other hand is a whole other story. They have stuff in their system and if you try to buy something before it's release. It gets flagged and the worker won't let you buy it. Cause it's not in the system to that release date. Even if it's on the shelves.
