I didn't get into the how many purchases (physical media) discs I bought this year but I looked and I've only bought less than 20, combined with imports. I do have about 6-7 preorders left for 2019, though - imports included.

Maybe you should familiarize yourself with my past posts in this thread before popping off about something you don’t know anything about Because if you did, you’d realize I have a negative opinion about cable/satellite
no need, I know you are not a fan, like me, like Wendel, like Penguin....

the point was since there is no one here trying to make a case for how amazing Cable/Sat is (which it is not) there is no need for any of us to talk about how they are wrong.

Actually if you wad then up, quasi straighten, wad again, straighten then they have a decent use in the absence of rolled paper.

I have been redeeming my codes just so I could compare the stream to the disc. Most had redeemed till John Wick 3, tried the method they said use if you did not have the app and it did not work. Have no need for the Lionsgate app so I will save it in case I need it for the above situation.

Yes, I have made the same comments in the past! . (The rolled paper bit).

Nope, not going to happen. As long as there’s an air of hypocrisy on either side of the discussion I’m going to call bullshit. How you process that is not under my control. Much like what I have to say here isn’t up to you.

Most people downloaded it straight to VUDU or iTunes Wendell. It is unfortunate that Lionsgate, MGM and Paramount haven’t joined Movies Anywhere

That’s like throwing away slipcovers I was paraphrasing a line from Talladega Nights:

Reese:
Look, all I got to my name is a car, and a duffel bag full of underwear and sweet, stinky weed.

Walker:
How much you sellin' that weed for, old man?

In the US today is Veterans Day, a day to remember all that have served and say thank you.

Thank you for your Service Wendell. Some of my most memorable days were serving in Vietnam, Chu Lai and Da Nang 1969-1970.

Wow. Disney Plus's day of release catalog looks seriously impressive. If you aren't a cinephile or an audiophile there is a strong argument not to buy physical disks again.
Personally, I have to continue to buy physical 3D because it doesn't stream anywhere. And I am going to buy the mega-expensive MCU boxset. But after that I must admit, I am going to cut back my physical disk purchases unless it is for my absolute favorite movies.

Yeah, my soon to be ex sent me a text asking me to download the app for our son. I’m not sure what he watched, most likely a show, but he thought it was cool. If I wasn’t moving to a place where internet service is questionable I might have signed up for the service too.

What a odd post. Why would you not buy discs again? All we have with Disney is mostly kids stuff. Marvel, Pixar, Disney, Star Wars. Some good films in there but no film fan in their right mind would give up their collection for a limited type of mostly blockbuster style films.

I can see Marvel mega fans who love quality MAYBE sacrificing disc for the service and casuals will use the subscription but not many people would limit themselves to Disney umbrella films.

Simple, preferences. Why don’t you do some research before you start bad mouthing a service. Having looked at the service I can tell you it is a HUUUGGGEE library!!

A film fan/collector is typically not going to limit themselves to just Disney fare at they? That’s fanboys.

How did I badmouth Disney? Their films ARE mostly for kids. I didn’t debate the size of the catalogue. However, it’s not exactly adult content is it?

Mister Chavarin,

Did not join, got an invite from President Johnson. Near the end of my time the Army offered me a lot of money to re-up for 3 more years which I turned down. Then they offered me a lot more money still to re-up and go to Fort Rucker for helicopter school and warrant officer. At the time the life span of a chopper pilot was not all that good at Rucker and much less so in country. Where I came from very few went to college and I never thought I would make it but being in the service gave me new goals. So I set my sights on college and did not deviate. It did feel really strange being back in a classroom after being away almost 4-½ years.

Years ago I spent a lot of time in small aircraft because several colleagues were licensed pilots, some were multi-engine, IFR rated or were in IFR traning. My younger brother was half owner of a Mooney Ranger with re-tracks and VP prop, that puppy sure could scoot.

HBO Max is going to have the adult content.
I'll have to see how it goes. I've continued to buy disks despite subscribing to Netflix for years. I doubt I'll be buying anymore Disney content on iTunes. Again, we'll see.
