I think Mike and Rich are correct about Driver's character Kylo Ren. I think he is Han and Leia's son gone bad. I think he's searching for Luke's lightsaber as a trophy and I think that's why Han and Leia are so upset in that scene together, to find out about their child. I also think Ren will be killed off in this first flick ('Darth Mauled').

I think Luke may become a bad guy. As they pointed out it would be a good departure for Hamill, something he would enjoy, plus Luke was getting a bit dark towards the end of RotJ. BUT as they also point out, there are too many bad guys in the movie, so maybe not. Still unsure.

I think the person who dies will either be Isaac as Dameron, or Boyega as Finn. Again as pointed out I don't think Rey will know other characters like Chewie or Han well enough to cry as she does in that scene. Notice the scene where Rey is crying appears to be at night, with snow in the background, could that be the same scene where Finn faces-off against Ren? so could it be that Finn gets killed in that battle? (future film listings could easily be false).

Ford has wanted Solo dead since way back when, but that could be deemed way too predictable now because its common knowledge. Plus Ford is very old now and may have changed his mind, he may wanna run with Star Wars for as long as possible as he nears retirement, last hurrah type thing. So I think it may be too obvious for it to be Solo, I think its someone else.

Rey is Luke's daughter I believe and the trilogy will focus on her.

Finn could well be a rebel spy, I doubt he's gonna be a Jedi, that's Rey. Fin escapes Empire in TIE at start of movie, crashes on desert planet, makes friends with Rey, possibly gets killed off later on, hence Rey being really upset?

The new Death Star type thing seems to be beneath a planet now, a snow planet. The X-Wing/TIE battle on the snow planet is probably the finale.

Could be, but he has a 'rebel' jacket when he crashes on the desert planet, the same jacket as Dameron. This leads me to possibly suspect he was always a 'rebel' all along.

Or that it was just a jacket, or that he had it from Dameron somehow, from the trailer my guess is that he is from a firmly "imperial" family or that he grew up under the first order propaganda, probably trained in combat since youth and just got hit hard by the reality of serving a bunch dark side addled ********s once he got into being a Stormtrooper for real.

He wears Poe Dameron's jacket, possibly after saving him. Not sure where Poe is though.

well, it's been said more than a couple of times that the 1st season is the weakest......and it sounds like that's what you were watching.

I just have a hard time believing the show changes THAT much. Like, I had zero entertainment value from season one. I was checking my phone, rolling my eyes, the works. It's hard to believe it improves many times over and becomes a show I would enjoy. I'll try it again sometime though, it would be nice to have more Star Wars to watch. I think we probably just have different tastes though.
