Yeah I need a break before August wrecks my bank and credit card. September 3 is gonna be another killer, looking to be a $150 dollar day as of right now, thanks to Scooby on Blu-ray. August is gonna be bad, could be a $400+ dollar month if I can't control myself with the new MCU Steelbooks. It isn't looking good. At least one of my paychecks from July will be going 100% to Blu-ray releases the following month.

I am looking forward to Pet Sematary on 7/9. I hadn't seen the original movie beforehand, so I really enjoyed the remake. I'm using an Amazon gift card to pay for that and the complete first season of Titans on Blu-ray the following week.

If I were to buy another computer, it would be a pc. I can’t really afford a Mac.
I have an iPad, but luckily it was a gift.

Their products are expensive because they're overpriced since Apple can get away with it with their consumer base.

I've never understood why people say something is so "sick". Who the hell thought of that?

I bought my firs ever Mac two years ago. Quite honestly, I'm not overly impressed. I mean it does the job, but so did all the PC's I had before then.

Since our move a year ago I primarily use my iPhone to do any of my computer needs. Every so often I use my son’s laptop, but that’s mainly used for his schoolwork. I’ll eventually boot up the old pc, but haven’t felt the need as of yet. We don’t do enough online to justify an upgrade.

Lots of health woes for me lately. Last week something bit me on the ankle, which caused an allergic or some kind of other reaction. At first I thought it was a heat rash but then the redness spread to two different spots. After about the second day I noticed what looked like puncture marks, two each, on each red spot. Like, what the hell? That went away almost as quickly as it appeared.

Then this morning, on my way to get coffee before work, I sprained my ankle crossing the street (same ankle as the mysterious rash). I briefly saw stars and thought I was going to faint from the pain. I have no plans to visit any doctor just so they can take one look and give me aspirin. I'll grin and bear it and hope the swelling goes away.

Speaking of computers, I wonder how long it'll be before places like Best Buy start downsizing their PC sections like they've done with physical media. I don't know anyone who still buys desktops - everybody works from their phones. I needed a computer for an upcoming vinyl to digital conversion project and had someone from work build me one. I briefly considered going to BB to purchase one but there's not a whole lot else I plan to use it for other than internet browsing. Computers intimidate me tbh.

for the sprain, at least go to the drug store and get a wrap or support for it. walking around on a sprained ankle can make it much worse. so i'd at least do that. i turned mine a couple years ago when i was doing some yard work. on the second day, it hurt like hell to walk on it so i went and got a pretty good ankle support brace from cvs. it really helped and the pain was gone after a few days.

Interview this morning. I’m really hoping there’s no catch to this position and the base + commission isn’t heavily commission based. Because this job feels like a win for me and I don’t want to feel pressured to sell. While I’m good at it and have the personality for it, I need to believe in what I’m selling first.

i asked off for the 4th, and they gave that to me plus the 3rd. then, i traded with a guy so he wouldn't have to work 8 days in a row. so i took his shift for today and he took my friday shift. that gives me 3 days off in a row (+ 3 extra hours, actually, too). plus, tomorrow is only a 4 hour shift where i get off before 1:00. so it's like 3 1/2 days, really...and i ain't complainin' .

also, we don't get anything extra for working on holidays. so i'm not missing out on anything extra by not being there.

NHL Draft day, free agency day and trade deadline should all be declared national holidays.

Do you think I should see a doctor? I briefly used a cold pack when it happened 2 1/2 hours ago but the swelling (and the mild pain) haven't really gone down much. If I had a broken bone or torn ligament the pain would've been unbearable, no? I'm getting on a plane in two days and would hate for this to ruin my vacation but, at the same time, I don't want to spend hours at a clinic only to be told to buy an ankle brace and take some aspirin. I'm lucky I have a desk job and don't have to stand all day.

i'd buy the ankle brace anyway and start wearing it. but i also might go see a dr about it. even if it's just a doc-in-a-box place and they tell you to keep a brace on it. i do know that one of the worst things you can do for a hurt ankle is to keep walking on it, so just stay off of it as much as you can and definitely keep ice on it (or a cold pack, etc.)

Why are the coworkers who complain the most about having financial trouble the ones who constantly call out? Like gee I dunno maybe if you show up to work you won't have money trouble? #commonsense
