Yeah true Michael and Barbara are a bit more open-minded but still, Cavill is already recognizable as the face of one franchise. Fassbender's the same way, he's already Magneto and he's an Oscar nominee - too big for Bond. The next Bond is more than likely gonna be someone we've barely even heard of at this point.

Yep, that's how it's happened in the past. I think the next Bond will have a couple of films under his belt, but he won't be an established star.

Cavill has a dopey aspect to him I wouldn't like as Bond. Fassbender would be ten times better.

He's not British though.
EDIT: Though neither was Lazenby.

I still think the best actor, who is also a realistic proposition, is Luke Evans. Just needs to buff up a bit but so did Craig.

[Show spoiler]
I'd be more than fine with Evans; one to be moulded into the role of Bond.

Dominic Cooper? He's young enough.

Not for me unfortunately. A bit too weedy IMO. I know he could bulk up, etc, but he doesn't have much presence. I'd like a Bond this time who looks naturally imposing, wide-shouldered, tall, and completely ruthless.

Despite all the above he could be a good shout, hehe!

Neither was Brosnan.

It's kinda funny (to me) that Bond, thought of as this quintessential English character, has been played by a die-hard Scot, an Aussie, an Irishman, and a Welshman, with only two English incumbents so far.

Cavill would be an obvious choice, but I still like the look of Luke Evans, he's got that sort of thin, "cruel" face that Fleming wrote about. Yes, I know he's Welsh.

He does have that cruel face, doesn't he? I never gave it much thought, but I'm warming to the idea of Evans as Bond. Another man from the valleys to be Bond after a personal favourite of mine, Mr. Dalton.

Only a matter of time before someone suggests Chris Pratt.

How about Tom Mison from Sleepy Hollow? Give him a haircut and shave and a lot of people won't even know he's the lead actor in Sleepy Hollow.

J-Law as, initially, a Bond girl / fellow MI6 operative,, but with a huge twist, whereby Pratt's Bond gets killed near the end of the film, and she becomes Jane Bond.
