Has anyone received their signed copy from DD yet? I would like to think all the DD orders shipped WITH the bonus disc.

A few folks that attended the signing posted photos with the bonus disc. I can't confirm on my end yet, but I did receive a shipping notice from DD at the very least, so it's a start.

Yeah I saw the pics, and they look great. I was just wondering if any DD shipments had arrived yet? Now that there's talk of missing bonus discs, I hope it didn't affect the DD orders.
My DD order is due in tomorrow...so with USPS that could mean anywhere between 1-3pm(est). I was hoping to hear some reports of received DD orders by now.

At the earliest they would have shipped/prepped for shipment Sunday night and the first batch out Monday morning, so I'd wait at least until tomorrow for reports of them getting shipments in anywhere. Mine should be here Thursday/Friday so I'll report back if mine does come with it or not (and the extra signatures).

Still no shipping conf from DD. I placed my order on 6/28 at about 5 PM PST... I thought they were shipping in FIFO order

When they ran out of bonus discs, they should've sent out a mass e-mail to those who have yet to receive the set letting them (us) know of the situation and if we would rather wait for a re-pressing or to ship the set without it then send the extra disc along later. THIS is what SHOULD have happened.

I just got my email from DD saying they shipped mine today. Cant wait to watch this as I just finished watching The Friday the 13th collection

I called DD this afternoon as I was on the waitlist for a signed copy. I ordered the morning after the deadline for a guaranteed copy. He informed me that I was getting a copy and that they were preparing hundreds for shipment this afternoon. Sure enough, got a shipping notice a few hours later.

Direct, simple communication appears to be the Achilles' heel of this particular company.

Frankly, this would be a great study in how sending out a clear mass emailing can save time in future individual responses.



I can't remember ever in my life getting a "shipping notice" via email that neglected to even mention the item that was shipped. Until yesterday, that is.

Got my shipping notice this afternoon, for just the regular preorder.....a preorder I made a special point of placing to get the bonus disc. All this talk about running out and mine shipping so late, has got me a bit worried; enough so that I will try to return it and go through the cheaper Amazon to reorder if Im short changed.

As I indicated, this sounds like people overgeneralizing or ripping it of its context. None of the "re-use of footage" makes this not ALL NEW in the context intended (as in, "This isn't a His Name Was Jason retread." and is an all new entity, regardless of any references to or inclusion of past elements). Just as I stated, even saying they were doing "all new interviews" with people wouldn't mean they were doing them with all people. Even saying the documentary itself is "all new" doesn't mean that every bit of footage was created solely for its release (for instance, footage from the Friday the 13th films themselves or footage from prior interviews that they themselves conducted and which had portions featured in another documentary or stock footage they licensed from other interviews or anything else like that).

If what you indicated is the sole cause of the confusion, then it would seem that this is people overreacting because they misinterpreted something rather than because it was misrepresented to them.

I am more than a little ticked right now as I essentially ended up paying about $15 extra and waiting longer for that stupid disc. And I put my order in in JULY. So it was definitely a pre-order.

EDIT: In better news, my girlfriend just called to let me know Grand Theft Auto V just arrived at my door seconds ago. HOORAY! No Crystal Lake Memories, though. BOO!

Is this confirmed that orders that shipped Monday will not have the bonus disc? There is absolutely no excuse for people who pre-ordered in July and August not to receive the bonus when people who placed orders on or near the release date did receive it. The only reason I ordered direct was because they said other retailers would not receive stock until October and would not contain the bonus. Seeing that Amazon and Barnes and Noble are already shipping these I didn't benefit at all as far as getting this any faster. If anything as a Prime and Barnes and Noble member I would have received my order faster if I had purchased through either of them. I also would have saved a significant amount of money if I had ordered through Barnes and Noble when they had this listed for $18. So the one and only benefit I should receive by ordering direct is the bonus disc and now I'm being told I won't receive that either? If so I will never purchase another thing from this company again.

Perfectly said and this whole situation is just plain ridiculous. I had reservations when I ordered and didnt even receive a order confirmation from the website directly.....just a paypal receipt.
