I waited and want three amarays. I will probably chuck the box sleve as I'm not a huge fan of the art, although feel it better the the L.E set.

I like III and am in a minority there, but would think its the best way for Arrow to sell it as part of a set. After this if it were me, I'd sell I and II as individual steelbooks.

They're owned by Warner unfortunately.

It seemed rather like the basic box set was thrown in at the last minute after people went so nuts over the LE. Arrow saw a bigger sales market than they were anticipating and wanted to capitalise on it, as well as throwing water over eBay. They'd always promised single releases so they need to get them out there eventually.

I also like Hellraiser 3. In fact the only ones in the series I don't care for almost at all are Hellworld & Revelations.

I know but they could have cut out the second boxset an just done the 3 separate releases and use the money towards another project :P

I ordered my blood Rage in June from arrow directly. The reason being is I wanted to get a hold of it before people who order from zavvi, Amazon etc. But it seems those lucky sods will be getting theirs first bizarrely at this rate.

Does that not answer your own point? You may not want it but you say yourself there's demand so why wouldn't they release it?

Well, at least you're discovering all these films for the first time. I was born at the end of the 60s and I'm still discovering stuff!

Email from Arrow.

We would like to update you on a recent release date change regarding your purchase of THE JACQUES RIVETTE COLLECTION.

The restoration processes for the films have taken a little longer than expected, and have impacted the initally planned release date. The Collection will now be released by retailers on January 18th, 2016. However, we are certain to be shipping your orders from our webstore before this date.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused with this delayed release date. Upon reviewing the fully restored materials, we are extremely pleased with the result and hope that when the Collection is with you, you will thoroughly enjoy the fully restored films.

Thanks for your understanding, and feel free to follow our Facebook and Twitter pages for all the latest information regarding this, and any of our other releases

This is disappointing, and a bit worse than the Arrow PR guy had led my pal to believe a few weeks ago. Alas.

Is Blood Rage still due next week?

It's a real shame that Rivette's been delayed, as I was looking forward to getting through it during the Christmas break. Who knows when else I'll find the time! That'll probably mean Yoshida's bumped up to #1 on my tentitive best of 2015 list.

I too had reserved the top spot for it! It looks like Every Man For Himself and Hiroshima mon amour will be fighting it out for me (and APU, when it arrives next week).

I'm quite relived about Rivette in a way, as December was shaping up to be quite expensive, and I can actually afford to part with a little more money in January than I can right now. Still, it's a shame to wait.

It's been a great year! Yoshida will probably top my list due to a combination of the films' own brilliance and the fact they've never been released here before. Battles Without Honour and Humanity, Hiroshima mon amour, Every Man for Himself, Videodrome, My Darling Clementine, Dreyer, Rossellini's War Trilogy and Thief are all contenders.

They haven't announced it officially yet (perhaps they're a bit scared to!), but it's now saying the same date on Arrow's store so it must be.

Hmmm, I got a very similar email regarding The Firemen's Ball & Closely Observed Trains and received them both a day after street date after ordering (as I always do) direct from Arrow. I've yet to receive any notification on the Rivette Collection.

As of a minute ago, there was nothing on the Twitter account of the delay. I'm not on Plightbook.

I hope the new year sees Arrow set out with realistic release dates (which can always be brought forward?) as it happens with almost every release. Yes it's a First World problem and as much as it doesn't sound like it, I'm not that fussed. Just think it doesn't do the reputation any good.

I'd much rather have a delay. I can always wait a little longer for a release. The last thing I'd want is a limited set that had a release date for mid January suddenly dropping in mid December and missing out on it because I missed the updated date.

That's a fair point, hadn't factored in the limited releases.
