No, it isn't shocking but bombing people because they are a certain religion is. It still happens to this day, bombs being found planted by the IRA and such not that the British army are innocent either though.

It's kinda funny (to me) that Bond, thought of as this quintessential English character, has been played by a die-hard Scot, an Aussie, an Irishman, and a Welshman, with only two English incumbents so far.

Cavill would be an obvious choice, but I still like the look of Luke Evans, he's got that sort of thin, "cruel" face that Fleming wrote about. Yes, I know he's Welsh.

Well technically Timothy Dalton is not Welsh at all. Neither of his parents were Welsh and he mostly grew up in England. He was only born in Wales because his dad was stationed there during the war.

This movie's plot is going to be a total mess, unless they seriously rewrote the final act.

That trailer confirmed a major retcon:

[Show spoiler]Waltz is responsible for all the villain activities that happened in the 3 previous films

and

they're going the

[Show spoiler]Waltz is Bond's brother/half-brother/foster-brother route, which is Daytime Soap Opera level cheese

Still haven't sold me that they're bringing back the SPECTRE organization for any other reason than QUANTUM was poorly received and this will get the fanboys excited.

I predict there will be a backlash once people actually see this movie and the plot twists are revealed.

But not a big one because it's Bond and it will be hugely successful regardless, even though the budget on this film is MASSIVE and they need for it to be at least another billion dollar hit in order to make a profit, maybe more.

That trailer didn't nearly get me as excited as the teaser and I've got a feeling this isn't going to come close to topping Skyfall. But it looks like good Bond fun regardless.

Spectre (are we supposed to capitalize that for the movie's title or not?) looks sorta like Skyfall Part II but at least Sam Mendes is probably not going to come back.

Now if we can just dump those hacks Neal Purvis and Robert Wade from the Bond series.

Yes please. Why they continue to get hired to pen Bond scripts over and over again baffles me. The dog's dinner they made of the scripts for Brosnan's films post-Goldeneye should've been enough. It's probably why since Craig became Bond the producers have had guys like John Logan in to improve the work of Wade and Purvis.
