Default Drew Peterson

All right...I'm going to re-attempt to do this poll lol. I'd also like to thank the Mod who deleted my "test" run..it failed miserably lol. The Mod's here deserve our recognition for dealing with our stupidity and keeping the forum clean of Blu-ray haters and Trolls. I guess we can call them "Unsung Heroes".

I know this is way off topic but at least I'm in the right forum.. I'd say the majority of us know who Drew Peterson is. He's been in the news for the past several years denying he had anything to do with the dissapearance of his 4th wife. He's finally been indicted on a 20 million bond for the death of his 3rd wife(another long sad story as well). I just got home a little while ago. I usually flip through a few news sites and they're reporting that skeletal remains have been found along a river about 30 or so miles from the Peterson home.

I've also been a fan of Behavorial Science and this really takes the cake. I think he's a sociopath. Sadly, the media has treated him like a celebrity. Anyone else hear about his upcoming reality show? He was being hauled away in handcuffs and shackles and tells reporters that he loves his new "bling" and that he "should have returned those library books." Is that something you say after you've been accused of murdering your wife? While you claim that your 4th wife ran away with another man and is fine where she is. Drew asked a friend to help him carry out a large blue barrel and load it into his truck. The person helping him mentioned in a news interview that it was rather heavy and he believed the body of Stacey was in there. Is this the same blue barrel that was just found today floating down a river only a short drive from the home of Drew Peterson?

I was just curious how many people on here agree with me. I'll have a poll up in a bit but I'm just sick of this guy and he really needs to fry. I hope the body ends up being Stacey because at least then they'll have solid proof and the family will have justice. As well as the family of his 3rd wife.

I'm going to go a little deeper here so bear with me. Drew is a veteran of the local Police Dept. knows a lot of people and his wife(number 3) supposedly drowned in his bathtub. Dry bathtub to boot. Blood was present but it was not diluted. A corner(a friend of Drew's) ruled it an accidental drowning. I'm pretty sure that the entire local government is corrupt. The body was exhumed and examined by a well-known pathologist, Michael Baden. He then ruled it a homicide. Which has finally led to the indictment of Drew. So will this case finally be wrapped up? I hope so because the guy needs to go away. He's gotten away with it long enough. Just my .02 and sorry for the long post but I really hate this guy.

I,ll have to hear the evidence first, right now I have no reason to believe one way or the other.

The guy has acted like a creep during all the media exposure. While obviously I have no idea if he really did what he is accused of, there sure does seem to be a lot of circumstantial evidence pointing to him.

New body found in river near the homes

Quote:

No one knows yet how the body found along the Des Plaines River last week ended up there.

But if it was submerged, there's little doubt its journey through the debris-filled river was rough. It may have crashed into boat traffic that moves year-round, got stuck on logs and roots, and been impacted by fish, wildlife and the changing currents and temperatures. By the time it arrived onshore, not far from Big Basin Marina near Channahon, only portions of the midsection and partial leg bones were left.

Although a preliminary autopsy last week couldn't say whether the body was that of a man or woman, the race or identity, the remains did hold a few clues. Found with the body were shreds of jeans, meaning the person likely had not been out for a swim and then drowned.

The body is undergoing DNA testing, and officials said results aren't expected for up to two weeks. Sources said they could be returned as early as this week.

Even if the body is identified, further investigation will likely be needed to tell how long it was in the water, or when the person died, said noted forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden, who is familiar with the cases of missing Will County women Stacy Peterson and Lisa Stebic.

Baden, who is not involved with last week's discovery, said the cause of death may never be known.

"This is the kind of body that could be in the water for one year, or five years, because there was a lot of destruction from the body," he said. "The first thing is, who is it. Once you know who it is, you can get a better determination of how the body got there."

The DNA could be extracted from bone marrow or other cells, experts said.

"Frankly, you've got bones," said Dr. Peter G. Candel, a pathologist and senior partner at Holy Cross Hospital who is not involved in the investigation. "There is residual cellular material that can be found in the marrow, the bone itself or adherent tissues. ... You just need to get molecules of DNA out to do comparison."

Over the decades, the Des Plaines River has become a dumping ground for bodies, including four victims of John Wayne Gacy. It's at least 9 feet deep and up to 50 feet in places, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Because of industry in the area, the water is murky and warm and for the most part does not freeze over in winter. Commercial boat traffic is year round. When it rains, the current moves faster, boating officials said.

Bodies decompose faster in warmer waters, said Baden, who performed an autopsy on Kathleen Savio on behalf her family. Drew Peterson is charged with Savio's 2004 death and is a suspect in Stacy Peterson's disappearance. He has denied wrongdoing in both cases.

While DNA may answer some questions about the body, it likely won't reveal exactly what happened.

Stacy Peterson and Stebic have been missing since 2007. Plainfield police have named Stebic's husband, Craig, a "person of interest." He has denied wrongdoing.

"It's on our minds constantly," said Pam Bosco, a spokeswoman for Stacy Peterson's family. "Whoever this person is, it's going to be good for somebody to get some closure."
n,m...same body...just a slower news outlet...XD

I'm a big believer in capital punishment and the death penalty, and if all the evidence is pointing towards a verdict of guilty, then the favor should be returned.

I do believe in eye for an eye.

Despite Gandhi's objections to it. But this isn't about my viewpoints.

I thought my old thread would get bumped. Sentencing is set for November. I am shocked that he got convicted. It just kept inching more and more towards an acquittal. But definitely good news. This guy is pure scum.
