Default Styx...

I saw them three times in the late 70's and early 80's. Just saw them last night with REO Speedwagon (also saw them in the early 80's) and .38 Special on the Can't Stop Rockin Tour '09.

I would highly recommed this show for the old school folks on here and even some of the younger crowd. My 16 y.o. son really enjoyed the show.

Styx stole the show and should have played last so they could have a longer set. They did play some of the older stuff (Crystal Ball and Suite Madam Blue) and also did their more recent rendition of The Beatles "I am the Walrus".

If they're coming to a venue near you I say grab a ticket and go as they are still polished and rockin on!

My wife and I saw them in concert a couple of years ago. It was a great show. It was a "smaller" concert when we saw them though and they were the only headliner there.

I have watched them several times, and saw Tommy a few more with Damn Yankees.

If you haven't watched the Blu "Styx: The One With Everything w/ the Contempory Cleveland Youth Orchestra" you should really check it out. I was blown away and fired off an email to Liza (the director of the orchestra) to express how impressed I was and she wrote me back.

Styx: They Rawk.

That was done by Dennis DeYoung, sans the rest of the band?

James Young and Tommy Shaw did do a guitar dual version of Eddie Van Halen's "Eruption" too. That was pretty darn awesome.

VH would also be sweet to see live. I was born too late for most of these bands that I love (to be able to see them live and in their prime, I mean).

No, AFAIK the whole band is on the Blu including former members that come in towards the end.

Right on! I like Styx, especially older stuff.

I'd love to see them play with Yes as a conglomerate band.

I wanted to go to that but we didn't end up getting tickets. Shame.

Wait a second...you tripped to them?! I would have never guessed, based on your screenname anyway.

Saw them a couple years ago at a local summer music festival and it was an excellent show.

James Young is an asshold. Dennis Deyoung was the core of that band. When James started talking out of his ass on "Behind the Music" he showed his true colors.

I too saw them in concert a few years back with Kansas and John Waite. Styx was the highlight of the night.

Mr Roboto rules.
