Default Need Help: Small Area and Small Budget

I REALLY want a home theater system of some kind at least. But I have two problems.

First, I am going to put it in a bedroom, so I was wondering if a 5.1 system might be too much.

Also, I am working on a budget so I want something cheap. Right now I was looking at getting this receiver: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218066769902
With these speakers: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1202650703861

If I did get those would I need anything or would I be set? I can tell from comments on bestbuy that I might need longer speaker cables. Anything besides that?

Also would this be a good receiver at least for 4+ years? Because I will probably use it for about 3 months then not use it for another 9 once school starts again. And hopefully use it more after that.

Does anyone else have any better suggestions? I know it's a lot of questions. Anyway thanks for the help.

Sorry for the double post. But I was wondering if that receiver is HDMI pass through or has HDMI switching, and which is better.

that receiver will process audio as well as handle video. it is just fine for what you need.

but please, PLEASE don't buy those speakers. Sending lossless audio to Insignia speakers is like putting nitrous in a Yugo.

Spend an extra $50 and get this...

Energy Take 5

I promise you the difference will be night and day. Heck, when the Energy's are delivered, go to BB and buy the Insignia and do a side by side. If you think the Insignias sound better I will send you the $50.
