I am almost positive that the day Dexter is released on Blu Ray on Region B is never gonna come

It is sad for us in Region B land that loves Dexter

Shame as I love this show and want it BADLY! American twits never release or stop the releases after a couple of seasons (King of the hill, home improvement). They will probably wait till it is of TV all together then give us S1 & S2.

Dexter is Showtime not HBO.

It's truly sad. Let's hope over time region free Blu-ray players will become as popular as region free DVD players are now.

Let's face it, in practice region locking is barely an issue anymore for DVD since virtually all DVD players are region free. DVDs are thus essentially without region code and why some studios still even bother to set the region flag on them is beyond me. It basically only proves there is no real reason for a region lock, no real decision point. They probably just put the lock on it, since well, uhmm.. they are used to doing it?

I been watching the show from the start, and it quickly climbed to the top of my favorites list.

When I heard it came out on blu-ray I was pretty much counting down for the day it would come out, and then when it was finally there, it turned out to be regionlocked.

Rather frustrating but hey, it happens. So now, months later, there is no word about any possible Region B release at all.
Why do they lock their titles when they dont have any Region B distributor for it yet, they basicly limit their own sales. I really dont get it.

I would love to buy Dexter on Blu-Ray. I cant understand why it hasn't gotten a Region B release yet.

Why not just have a region free player, I have one and I ESPECIALLY would if I was in Region B because a LOT of the best titles go to Region A locked. I have all 3 Dexter seasons and it's dumb they don't put this international. Fantastic show.

I can't understand why it wouldn't, they have been selling the SD at a good rate so assumption would be the Blu would sell just as well if not better, the only reason a company wouldn't release it would be if there was no profit in it, so I am sure it'll hit us sometime. Or

That's what I did. So glad I got to rewatch all three seasons in 1080p.

I gave up waiting and bought them on DVD. It's lucky I'm not too bothered about HD for TV shows.

I have the first 2, haven't had the chance to pick up 3 yet, but Dexter is the best show on TV! I was shocked when I saw that Dexter isn't released in the UK....

It's just bloody unbelievable... it's been on TV, is available on DVD, the blu-ray is already there... what are they waiting for? There are no licensing issues, no future network deals to watch out for, no nothing...

They can sell the American release here straightaway. What's the bloody hold-up?
