Default Record of Agarest War

Did anyone else see the trailer for Record of Agnest War Zero (I think that what it was called) on the Japan Store?

Looks interesting lets hope someone localises it...I'm looking at you Atlus and NIS with great big puppy dog eyes

Heck yeah I had the demo of the older game and it was amazing and this one also looks pretty good. However I didn't like the weird mouth movement they put in Zero and the generic breathing movement when they talk but more or less I would love to have both games and Tears to Tiara in the states.

Agarest: Generations of War Births English Version In August
Quote:
If you’ve been dying to play Agarest Senki in English your wait is almost over. Just like we discovered earlier, Compile Heart’s soul breeding PS3 strategy RPG is coming out in Europe.

Ghostlight, the company that published Digital Devil Saga in the UK, is taking care of Agarest: Generations of War and have it slated for August 21. Agarest: Generations of War is mostly remembered for its dating sim style elements where Leonheart, the hero, and one of the female characters can “breed” a new character.

A North American release for Agarest: Generations of War has not been announced at this time.

Just read it is coming out on PSN in America. Who would've thought? Maybe PSN will be the savior for those of us who like quirky Japanese games-- the money the publishers can save will allow for things like this to be released. I'd love to see more things like that happen. Now if only we could get Sega to release Yakuza.

LOL ARKSYS, sorry Shin but just thought that was hilarious but I'll forgive you for showing me that nice looking website with the beautiful picture.

Well more importantly I'm surprised that "AKSYS" will be the ones to bring it in the states. But now I don't have to keep playing the demo in Japanese in hoping for a U.S. release and yes Yakuza 3 would be awesome too(also Tears to Tiara).

Yeah I checked the UK Amazon and there isn't even a mention that it even exists because I wanted to import it ever since I heard that Europe was going to have it and as a collector's edition for the 1st press shipping.

If I find it listed anywhere I will post the link, and if they don't import I will buy some copies and send them out to people if they want. Since most Ghostlight games get a limited release then vanish off the face of the planet.

A couple of pre-order have started appearing.

Game
http://www.game.co.uk/PS3/Action/~r3...ations-of-War/

SimplyGames
http://www.simplygames.com/info/1778...ons-of-War-PS3

Both have he release date for the 16/10. But I think I'll wait and see if the special edition shows up anywhere.
Will also have to ask in my local game store about the game, just to look at there blank faces as they droll a little due to the fact I asking about a non-mainstream game.

Sounds like they wanted to release it pretty close to the time America should be getting it. But anyways though just tell your game store I want the soul breeding RPG called Agarest: Generations of War.

UK box art

12+ rating doesn't really surprise me, we seem to get most of these games rated lower as they slip under the radar and get missed Ar Tonelico 2 was teen in Japan and the US and rated 12+ here.

It's like they don't want people to buy this game. Why not stick with the Japanese cover? I'm sure some clever marketing boy thought that Japanese-styled covers don't work in Europe and instead they should go the western-style route.
