United Kingdom Flight 666 Iron Maiden Tour Documentary + Concert

Just watched this and its absolutely brilliant. The documentary follows Iron Maiden on their 2008 Powerslave Revisited world tour, with Bruce flying the band, crew and all the equipment around the globe in a Maidenised boeing 757. They played in India, Australia, US, Mexico, Peru and a bunch of others (23 gigs in 24 days across 5 continents fact fans). The sheer excitement which follows Maiden, especially in the poorer countries, is really touching and some of the fan footage is simply priceless.

It's great to see the Maiden boys being the same as they always were - just great blokes who play amazing songs, still so down to earth despite their massive success.

As a Maiden fan its a must-see, and even if you don't like the music its still worth a watch - my missus doesn't care for the music but still enjoyed the documentary immensely. There are a few snippets of performances in the midst of the documentary, and there's 16 full live songs packed onto the blu.

PQ is full screen and good 4/5
AQ is awesome 5/5

Up the Irons!

Thanks for that, General, I've been wondering for some time now what the Blu version is like. A must-buy for me.

Anybody in the US. I noticed several internet stores including Amazon have July 7 as the blu ray release date but Best Buy is showing as available in store (back ordered online). Has anybody have this already in the U.S.? Is this maybe another Best Buy exclusive? by the way is only $14.99.

The reason I got mine from the UK was for the earlier release date but, yes for a 30 day period it's a Best Buy Exclusive. After that on July 7th it can be sold via other retailers.

United Kingdom Cinema

Hi guys. I saw this in the cinema. it was a very sereal experience sitting watching my favourite band on a huge screen. Was kind of expecting a bit more of a sing along in the Hihg Wycombe movie house but maybe people thought they should behave and were thinking of the other movie goers. Being a lot of it is live music the soundtrack was nice and loud. Louder than when watching a movie I thought and I guess a couple of hundred maiden fans sining along to 50.000 fans and the band them selves might have been heard throught the cinema.

Damn I want to go and watch it now especially after finding out Maiden are redoing the Maiden England tour which is my favourite and the VHS is how I got into Maiden. alass I will wait for my fiancee and we will watch it together on our 50 Kuro.
