The first official photo of Sam Worthington as Perseus in Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans remake has been discovered. One of our readers sent in this photo scanned from the latest issue of Empire magazine. We've seen some photos previously, but they were distant paparazzi shots, not completely stylized like this. As our first real look at anything from this remake, I've got to say, this looks badass! It's gritty, it's dark, it's a huge step up from the original 1981 movie, and I love everything about the photo. This is definitely the first sign that Louis Leterrier is taking this new Clash of the Titans in the right direction!

Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny. Louis Leterrier is directing from a script by Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark).

this movie sounds like it could be cool and something i'd enjoy. kind of along the lines of god of war but not really, the mythology is something i love!!!

Looks good and has good casting, but I would've imagined the mighty Zeus to be played by someone with a bit more physical presence and a gruffer voice than Liam Neeson.

I will definitely be interested in seeing this, love the original to death. Cant wait to see what the Kraken will look like with updated effects.

Medusa has GOT to be in this movie....it wont be Clash Of The Titans without that snake-haired wench!

foto? has the decline of the English language reduced such a word to such laziness? really... how hard is it to add a 'p' and a 'h' ??

Interesting picture! I suppose they are going for a more warrior look compare to the classic look of the costumes of the original movie.

Watch the original just a few weeks back. I had a cheesie 80's movies Saturday night with Clash Of The Titans, Krull & Spacehunter.

Have you seen "Taken"?

After we watched the movie I turned to my wife and said, "Honey, my new rule is that I do not mess* with Liam Neeson".

I understand what you're saying but I guess it's no worse then r, u, BRB, IMO, OMG and all the other "shortcuts" people, including myself, take sometimes.
