If it was worth it to purchase them, fix them, and then resell them in working condition, I think the guy would do so himself, no? I mean, I'm a born skeptic, but, I would be willing to guess that the damaged glass is not the only problem with the panels. If it is, however, there would be very little profit you could make, seeing as replacing the glass panels on any plasma TV's means basically replacing two panes of glass and the particles in between them, and is therefore almost as costly as buying the TV.

Replacing broken screens? Err how would you go about doing that? It will prolly cost you as much as a new plasma. Pio doesnt make 55" so I'm guessing its a 50".

Without knowing what models they are it's hard to say how much it would cost to fix them, but I'll bet it's a bunch of money! Also depending on how old they are you might not be able to get a new panel very easly, or at all. You would be better off buying a new Pioneer at the sale prices that are out there right now. I know it's tempting but it could cause you a HUGE headache.

A rough estimate based off a 60" TV I used to have was roughly $1000 for a screen... Could be worth it if you are willing to go through the trouble to get them fixed.

I would get the model numbers and contact pioneer for a quote.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, for any of these displays, given that they are plasma tv's, is it not most likely that you cannot only replace the screen, but in fact have to replace then entire panel, plasma components and all? That would make it much, much more than 1,000$ to fix the 60 incher.

I too would think it would be a lil more complicated then swapping one panel for another plus unless your an expert I wouldnt recommend doing it yourself...hired help on the otherhand would prolly cost an arm n a leg.
