I've listened to the Vistas, borrowed the Vantages for a week, and now own a pair of Spires. IMHO they're worth every penny, and in my experience are the best speakers for the (not inconsiderable) money.

They're very revealing though (as any speaker in this price range ought to be!), so the rest of your system needs to be up to scratch. They can also be quite demanding of amp power too, so your amp needs to be capable of driving difficult loads.

I own Martin's and they are the best sounding speakers I've heard/can afford. As richter said, you better have a good amp to drive them because they are power hungry and can drop as low as 1 ohm depending on the frequency during the audio playback.

Just remember regardless what speakers you decide on, garbage in = garbage out.

I have a full 5.1 ML system and you do need a good amp that will be stable down below 2ohms. Sunfire TGA amps work good with them.

They are very revealing though, they will play the good, bad and ugly of your sustem. They will also point out the weak components, patch cables and speaker wires
